What a massive swing! Loved watching him play for the Yankees in the summer of 2000. Story goes a bit like Skubal this season - Yankees picked him up to keep him away from everybody else!

He played kinda well for them, but they signed him after 8/1 and he was playoff ineligble that year. Was sad for him. He would have hit well for a yankee playoff team, but didnt gewt the chance.

What a funny era in baseball lol had guys the size of wwf wrestlers just going up there and swinging as hard as they could. Then running the bases looking like Incredible Hulk and shit 🤣

He got the name Jose “Parkway” Canseco while playing in the minors at Joe Davis stadium in Huntsville Alabama. The stadium sits next to US Hwy 231 or Memorial Parkway. The first game ever played in that stadium, had Canseco hitting a Grand Slam that people swear reached the Highway. He was “Parkway” Canseco from that day on in Huntsville.
