#WATCH | Chennai, Tamil Nadu: On Congress's decision to support TVK, Congress MP Karti Chidambaram says, "The Congress party has decided to support a government headed by the TVK..." He says, "TVK has got 108 seats. The people of Tamil Nadu want a formation to be headed by the TVK. It's now incumbent upon the TVK to put together a workable majority, and they have reached out to the Congress party formally. It has been discussed in all appropriate forums of the party, and unanimously, the Congress party has decided to support a government headed by the TVK because we believe that the people of Tamil Nadu want a change, but they also want a change which is headed by the TVK, but is also a secular formation. I think the people of Tamil Nadu are very clear that they want a secular formation. So we are only aiding and assisting the TVK to put together a secular and stable government in Tamil Nadu..."

TVK President Thiru Vijay has requested the Indian National Congress' (INC) support to form a government in Tamil Nadu. The INC is clear that the mandate in Tamil Nadu is for a secular government, committed to protecting the Constitution in letter and spirit. The INC is determined not to allow the BJP and its proxies to run the government of Tamil Nadu in any manner. Thiru Vijay has also spoken about drawing inspiration from Perunthalaivar Kamaraj. Accordingly, the Congress leadership has directed the TNCC to take a final decision on Thiru Vijay’s request, keeping in view the sentiments of the state as reflected in the electoral verdict. : Congress General Secretary (Org.) On the swearing-in of Thiru TVK Vijay as the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, I extend my heartfelt congratulations and best wishes to him, Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam party and the entire progressive alliance. The formation of this government reaffirms the enduring strength of self-respect, social justice, empowerment and rational thought, are values that have long defined Tamil Nadu’s political and social consciousness. This is the legacy shaped by Periyar and Kamrajar. Millions of people across Tamil Nadu, especially the aspirational youth, have placed their trust in the TVK. I am confident that under his leadership, these ideals will continue to guide governance and inspire the nation. Wishing the new government great success in serving the people with compassion, inclusivity, and commitment. TVK Vijay

We are going to witness another yucky and puke worthy speech from Joseph Vijay promoted by DMK’s Sun TV! Ever since the BJP ADMK alliance took shape, the DMK ecosystem has been rattled! The DMK ecosystem is now using Joseph Vijay to ensure he gets some popularity and splits anti DMK votes much more to ensure Chinnavar, (who is desperate to become the next CM), gets elected and destroys Tamil Nadu. BTW, why is Sun TV promoting Joseph Vijay? The answer is simple. Joseph Vijay is their Bonafide slave to replicate what another slave Komali Haasan achieved in 2021! If only voters in Tamil Nadu have the tendency to wake up! TAKE THAT! Vijay TVK Vijay

#WATCH | Delhi: On TVK Chief Vijay meeting with Tamil Nadu Governor, Congress MP Manickam Tagore says, "... We all know that in Tamil Nadu, people have voted for change. People have chosen a new leader, and TVK has emerged. The direction is very clear: 108 members have been elected from that party. With the Congress party’s support of five members, the total becomes 113, while the halfway mark is 118. The governor, a former BJP man, is under pressure from the system. It is well known that the BJP’s mindset, and Delhi’s mindset, is not to make Vijay the Chief Minister. Delhi does not want Vijay to be the Chief Minister. We know the governor is delaying the decision. Although the governor is a good man, he is under pressure. BJP has only one MLA in Tamil Nadu, yet even with one MLA, they are ready to play politics. This is very unfortunate. Stopping a government that has been voted in for change and hope is a crime. I feel that Vijay should be invited to form the government quickly and be allowed to face the floor test in the assembly. That is natural justice. Any obstruction by any party against this change and hope will be punished by the people of Tamil Nadu."

Furthermore, the parliamentary elections are scheduled for 2029. Our primary agenda for these elections will be to win all 40 seats in Tamil Nadu. It caused great pain to all of us that Congress party functionaries, at a party meeting in Bihar, have spoken in derogatory terms about the mother of Hon'ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi. In Tamil Nadu where the women folk are revered, I hope the Congress party in the state will at least condemn these remarks. It is important that everyone in the state should come down heavily on such a remark. We all should respect women. - Smt Nirmala Sitharaman in Chennai, Tamil Nadu.
