Trump’s address last night was painfully disappointing. He has done nothing to lower prices, in fact costs are going up for working Americans. His big plan now is to savagely cut healthcare for Americans in order to give bigger tax cuts to billionaires - all while adding trillions to our deficit. The speech was full of lies, as independent fact checkers have now pointed out. It was not normal. He showed us who he is. Now It is now up to us to respond and fight to protect healthcare; fight for the economic strength of our nation and fight against budget busting tax breaks for the wealthiest at the expense of Medicaid and more.

So first Trump's team said there is no chance that Trump backtracks on the tariffs. Then they claim it was his plan all along to do exactly this. Then he claims that he backtracked because people were getting "yippy" and upset. None of this makes any sense. Trump's bluff was called, like we all knew would happen and he folded. He's just too weak to admit it.

Companies aren't the only ones upset with Trump's tariffs... Americans' opposition is way up. A year ago, 52% of Americans favored the tariffs. Today, it's just 38%. 62% oppose. Why? Goes back to affordability/prices. North of 70% say tariffs raise prices. No Bueno for Trump.
