RICO from day 1: #BBBYQ "It is the first time I have advised a company that received an acceleration notice from its lenders of the whole entire cap stack." -Kirkland and Ellis What triggered the notice of default January 13, 2023? A failure to prepay an overadvance? What this means is that the loan JP Morgan gave was contingent upon a ratio of qualifying inventory to the lending amount. Mark Tritton bought inventory that didn't qualify, JP Morgan did cash sweeps which prevented Bed Bath from being able to buy inventory, and MSC shipping price gouged 10x during covid to make the cost of inventory even higher. This is all 6 months after over a billion dollars of share but backs that JP Morgan managed for BBBYQ? Buybacks that JP Morgan set up a secret meeting with Goldman Sachs, Mark Tritton, and CFO Gustavo Arnal to cook the Bed Bath books to justify the buybacks? Did JP Morgan even do the share buy backs? I highly doubt it. Either way though, this is a massive RICO! And the Kirland and Ellis lawyer says it right at the beginning of chapter 11. Construction workers think quickly and clear a bottomed out trailer that was high pointed on the train tracks as a train was approaching 🇺🇸🚜 Also: 1. What video would be complete without a woman screeching 😎 2. Calling 911 in a situation like this - probably not going to do much outside of providing first aid if people were injured. The equipment needed to fix the problem was already on site. 3. This apparently actually damaged the tracks and they had to be temporarily closed for repair following this. #CityLife #construction #midlands #texas #bulldozer #BigRig #train #TrainTracks

Sanders: What we have here, and it’s a real issue, is that if you’re progressive, you can go out there and give a great speech, fine. You’re saying all the right things. You’re right on the issues. Great. Can you run a government? Can you be a good mayor? Can you be a good governor? All right. And what Mamdani is doing is showing that you can have a democratic socialist, progressive ideology and run a city. You know what? New York City had really serious snowstorms. It meant that people couldn’t get to work, kids couldn’t get to school, ambulances couldn’t get people to the hospital. You know what he did? He got the bloody snow off the ground and did a great job on that. People in New York City desperately need childcare, as they do in Vermont, as they do all over the country. He is now instituting free childcare for the people of New York City. That is really good. Working-class people need to buy affordable, decent-quality food for their kids. He’s starting to put grocery stores—municipally funded grocery stores—in low-income and working-class areas. That’s good. So the point is, we have got to have progressives who are not only right on the issues—and I speak as somebody who was a mayor for eight years—you’ve got to know how to run a government. You’ve got to cut through the bureaucracy. You’ve got to stand up for working-class people. You’ve got to create the best educational system in the world that we can. You’ve got to make the system work efficiently.

Imagine going to the ER and being subjected to someone protesting and screaming “Free Palestine” over and over. That’s what this couple had to do. Security did nothing about it. You’re already stressed out enough as it is, you’re in the emergency room for a reason you shouldn’t have to endure this. They should have put this protester on a 72 hour psych hold to be evaluated.

Had the opportunity to visit Bobby Fijan at the American Housing Corporation HQ in Austin, TX last week. He built a modular modern rowhouse model in the parking lot of the manufacturing facility. At scale, the work Bobby is doing will lower the cost of urban infill and provide people with the opportunity to live in an urban environment without compromising quality of life.
