Madrid superstar and England midfielder Jude Bellingham has opened up about the heated World Cup match between England and Argentina. “Messi and the Argentines are rough,” Bellingham said. “They were calling me and other black players monkeys. I reported it to the referee but he did nothing about it. There were so many fouls that were not awarded. The World Cup completely favours them and it’s unfair.” He also slammed the refereeing, pointing to a string of unpunished fouls, late challenges, and decisions that he believes tilted the game heavily in Argentina’s favour. “It feels like the whole tournament is set up for them,” Bellingham added. “We come out here to compete fairly, but it’s not fair when the rules don’t apply the same way.”

Declan Rice on England’s approach to facing Argentina and Lionel Messi in a potential World Cup semi-final. 🗣️ “Let’s stop pretending everything Argentina do goes through Lionel Messi. If you let him dictate the game, you’ve already made your first mistake. Our job is to make sure he doesn’t get a second to breathe.” “People can talk about Argentina’s squad all they want, but when Messi isn’t controlling the match, they’re a completely different team. He’s the engine, the creator and the player everyone looks for when the pressure is at its highest.” “We aren’t walking onto that pitch to admire him or watch another highlight reel. We’ll be in his face from the first whistle. Every touch will be contested, every pass will be pressured and every yard will have to be earned.” “This is a World Cup semi-final, not a tribute to Lionel Messi. If he thinks he’s going to stroll around and control the game, he’s in for a shock. We’ll make it as uncomfortable as possible because that’s what winning demands.” “Respect is one thing, fear is another. We respect Messi because he’s one of the greatest to ever play the game. But once that whistle goes, reputation means nothing. We’re there to beat Argentina, and if we stop their biggest threat, we’ve given ourselves every chance of reaching the World Cup final.”

Egyptian superstar Mohamed Salah in a recent interview about the 2026 World Cup match against Lionel Messi. “Messi is my idol,” Salah began, his voice steady but laced with disappointment. “But I saw how we, the Egypt team, were cheated in that match. It was so unfair. They fouled me — that could have been a penalty, but the referee and VAR didn’t award it. The match was frustrating. Seeing a legend like Messi cheat to win matches is heartbreaking.” “I’ve looked up to him my whole life. But football should be fair. That day… it wasn’t.”

Real Madrid superstar Vinicius Junior has broken his silence on one of the most debated chapters in recent football history Argentina’s 2021 Copa América victory and Lionel Messi’s subsequent Ballon d’Or win. “I don’t know what it is about Messi and FIFA but I feel like I’m being robbed. We were supposed to win that final but we all saw how the match was rigged. To be honest, Messi didn’t deserve the Copa América and the Ballon d’Or that year.” Vini said he was frustrated, gesturing animatedly as he spoke about what he perceived as favoritism toward Messi and Argentina by football’s governing bodies.

🚨🗣️Zlatan Ibrahimović on best player award in the World Cup : "They spent years calling Messi 'FIFA's boy, but when he produced another historic World Cup, suddenly the standards changed." "If Rodri wins the Golden Ball after a tournament where he barely decided games, then tell me-what more dia Messi have to do? Score, assist, lead, create, carry his nation again? That's exactly what he did." "The World Cup Best Player award is for the player who defines the tournament, not for politics or popularity. If Messi doesn't win it after performances like that, then football owes people an explanation." "People cried 'FIFA protects Messi.' Yet when he deserved the award the most, he was the one left empty-handed. Football has a strange sense of irony."

🔥🚨 BOMBSHELL INTERVIEW ALERT 🚨🔥 Ousmane Dembélé just sat down for a no-filter interview… and what he said about Lionel Messi and the World Cup is already exploding across social media 😳💥 When the journalist asked him the big question “Does Messi deserve a World Cup?” Dembélé didn’t hesitate. 🗣️ Dembélé: “No. I’m going to be honest, and a lot of people won’t like this… but no, I don’t think Messi deserved that World Cup the way it happened. Listen, Messi is an incredible player, one of the greatest talents the game has ever seen. I played with him, I saw what he can do up close. But ‘deserving’ a World Cup is different. A World Cup is supposed to be the purest competition in football. What we saw in 2022… and what we’re seeing again now… doesn’t always feel pure. There were so many soft penalties, so many moments where the whistle only seemed to go one way. The physicality that was allowed against us, the decisions in the biggest games… it left a bad taste. You work your whole life for these moments and then you feel the match is being influenced by things outside the pitch. That hurts more than losing. I’m not saying Messi isn’t a legend. He is. But when people talk about ‘deserving,’ I look at the full picture the refereeing, the narratives, the pressure on certain teams, the way some matches felt guided. Football should be decided by the players on the field, not by other factors. And this World Cup we’re in right now? Don’t even get me started. Too many strange results, too many soft calls in key moments, too many games that leave you shaking your head. Fans can feel it. Players can feel it. Something is off and nobody wants to say it out loud. I have massive respect for Messi the footballer. But if you’re asking me from the heart whether that 2022 title felt fully clean and fully deserved in the pure sporting sense… my answer is no. And I know I’m not the only one who thinks it.” 😱🔥 The interview is already causing chaos. Argentine fans are furious, French fans are divided, and neutral fans are arguing non-stop in the replies. Dembélé went there. No filter. No holding back.

Former Spain and Real Madrid legend Sergio Ramos in a recent interview about the 2026 World Cup final between Spain and Argentina. “I love Messi, yes he’s a genius,” Ramos said. “But him and the Argentine squad were really playing dirty in the final. The game and the officials were clearly supporting Argentina. They tried as much as they could to rig it, just like they did in the 2022 final. Thank God the Spanish team is different we rose above it and deserved the win.” When pressed about Argentina’s controversial match against England earlier in the tournament, Ramos doubled down: “The Argentine squad should have been suspended and stripped of their world titles after raising that flag and Enzo’s celebration. FIFA overlooked everything. There were so many calls that were not credited. It’s unfair. But I'm glad they lost".

2014 - Messi lost the World Cup. 2022 - Messi won the World Cup. 2026 - Messi lost the World Cup again. But one thing he never did was make excuses. He cried like a baby after losing the final today, yet he never tried to belittle the value of the World Cup by calling it “just a 6–7 match tournament.” To Messi, it has always been the tournament that defined legends like Pelé, Diego Maradona, Lothar Matthäus, Gerd Müller, and many others. Even after winning it once, he still wanted it again. That’s what the World Cup means to the greatest. 🇦🇷

But if you ask me who deserved the Golden Ball after this World Cup, my answer is Lionel Messi.” “People cannot underplay what Messi did simply because Argentina didn't win the World Cup final. At 39 years old, he was still the best player in the tournament. Every time he stepped onto the pitch, he carried his nation and produced moments only he can create.” “I honestly think the way the Golden Ball is decided should change. Rodrigo De Paul on Jude Bellingham putting his hands on Valentín Barco after the game: “I wasn’t aware of what happened at that moment, but immediately afterward Barco told me about it. When the footage was shown to me, I went straight to Bellingham and said, ‘Hey Jude, the game is over, right? Let’s have a little conversation in the tunnel.’ He replied, ‘Yes, of course, why not.’ “But as soon as we left the pitch, he was nowhere to be found. He was actually lucky I didn’t get hold of him because what he did was completely unprofessional. Putting your hands on someone during a match is not something that should be accepted.”

Alfie Haaland, the father of Manchester City forward Erling Haaland, gave a shocking reply when asked who is going to win the Ballon d’Or this season. 🗣️: “We all know the award is going to be gifted to Leo Messi, just like after the 2022 World Cup, when Messi had a pretty good tournament with the help of FIFA always giving him penalties. Despite my son having a better season winning the treble, being named the Premier League Player of the Season, finishing as the Premier League’s top goalscorer, and winning the European Golden Boot,he still fell short to Leo Messi because of a seven-game tournament, where most of the goals were penalties. Since he couldn’t win the World Cup this time, I’m sure FIFA will compensate him with the Ballon d’Or.”

Kylian Mbappé was asked in a recent interview how he felt about Lionel Messi during the World Cup. “I never got the chance to go head-to-head with him on that stage, and honestly I wanted it,” Mbappé said. “I wanted that final. I wanted to line up against him and put him in his place when the whole world was watching.” He didn’t hold back: “FIFA has spent years protecting him. The system bends over backwards for him and everyone in the game knows it. He’s a fraud who’s been carried by referees and media narratives for far too long. We all knew how he rigged the 2022 World Cup. FIFA is always in his favour.” Mbappé added: “Guys like him get treated like they’re untouchable while the rest of us have to fight for every scrap of recognition. It’s a complete farce.”

🚨🎙️Declan Rice Reveals Tuchel's Masterplan to Stop Messi: "The manager has been preparing us for this game for a long time because you don't get many chances to face a player like Lionel Messi. Thomas Tuchel keeps telling us that you don't stop Messi by diving into tackles or trying to be a hero on your own. You stop him as a team. Every player has a responsibility—stay compact, cut off the passing lanes, don't let him receive the ball facing goal, and make every decision as difficult as possible for him." "We know he can beat two or three players with one movement, so concentration has to be perfect for 90 minutes or more. If he gets space, he'll punish you. That's why discipline is everything." "And look, this is a World Cup semi-final. Our defenders know they'll have to be clever. If that means using a bit of the dark arts every now and then—breaking up the rhythm, making things uncomfortable, taking a tactical foul when it's needed—as long as it's within the laws of the game, that's part of football at this level. You don't give the greatest player of all time an easy afternoon."

Mario Icardi has reportedly spoken to sources about his own national team, Argentina, and Lionel Messi. "Messi is the reason I wasn't called up to the national team. He had a personal problem with me, but I couldn't care less. His ego and absolute control over Argentina are frustrating. And as for referee favors? It’s been obvious for years. We didn't deserve to reach the final, and if it weren't for certain refereeing decisions, we wouldn't have. I can't keep pretending or ignoring the truth when everyone saw it clearly."
