The term West Bank is the internationally recognized name, used in diplomacy, UN resolutions, and by nearly every country on Earth. Trying to rename it is part of an effort to rewrite history and erase the Palestinian people’s identity, presence, and rights. You can’t colonize land and then pretend it was yours all along by changing the name, Judea and Samaria because slapping a biblical name on occupied land magically erases international law, 75 years of military occupation, and millions of Palestinians. What’s next, renaming Gaza to Philistia so it feels more historic? You can cosplay ancient kingdoms all you want, but apartheid wrapped in scripture is still apartheid.
