‘Anyone who criticises you on your approach [Judge Thulare’s to this case] it’s either they don’t understand the methodology of family law or they’re not familiar with how care and parental responsibilities are actually established.’ - Prof Marumoagae

Some of these things sound good theoretically and in Latin. But in the real world, they don't seem to make much sense.

Overtime the spouses children will claim from the estate in contestation with the biological children’s share. It’s a nonsensical judgment.

It was a bad judgment to say the least. I’m still not hearing him

This sets a bad precedence, does he mean now the step father replaces the biological father of his legal natural responsibilities? Basically deadbeats now have a lifeline? Or now the kids can draw maintenance on both sources??? What’s really the premise or where does it end?

Have you read the judgment?

It was a bad judgement, you step in because of the love for the mother,, once that fade away, soo to ur support to the children, is a high time that judges must be held accountable for this kind of judgements

Crazy judgment. It doesn’t mention the contribution by the father. Also ignores that maintenance is for necessities not luxuries. Men are under siege.

I think it was a bad judgement under the current situation most woman find themself in, where in a case one has kids already the guy might want to place a separate line. We are used to be a supportive nation but if that can come into law, few will able to reach the mariage stage

This will now force one to factor in the risk of marrying someone with kids
