Judges are just that: judges. Not policy makers. An independent judiciary cannot function if they are treated like politicians whenever they release an unpopular opinion. Congresswoman Laurel Lee is on fire 🔥

🚨WATCH: I blast the activist judges who are attempting to derail the Trump administration by issuing nationwide injunctions.🚨 Nationwide injunctions are an abuse of power. They represent the judiciary acting as policy decision-makers, and it is incumbent upon the Judiciary Committee and this body to rein in this abuse of power from unelected, radical judges who are trying to overturn the election because they disagree with the voters' decision.

"The politicians don't need our votes to get to power. Who do they need? The judges. That is why Nyesom Wike is building mansions for judges. That is why state governors are donating prados and land cruisers to judges across the states. That is why they're making sure judges are the best-paid people in Nigeria. Meanwhile, governors who cannot pay the minimum wage are feeding judges with the kind of money and emoluments you cannot add up." — Chidi Anselm Odinkalu, CGoF

This is the most embarrassing court hearing in the history of Maldives. It’s so embarrassing that these High Court judges are covering their faces when other judges are asking Ahmed Usham’s lawyers questions. This is just like the SC hearing, an extremely poor argument made by AG. Is JSC going to start investigating these judges for humiliating Usham? AG is withholding an agreement against Information Commissioner’s ruling, saying it’s a confidential document. Then judges ask AG lawyer if they’ve seen the agreement. Then they said no. Then judges ask how can they tell it’s confidential if they’ve not seen it. Then they say they’ve seen the confidential clause in it, and that that’s sufficient. Then judges say when they interpret contracts, how they are supposed to understand the whole objective of the agreement without reading it fully. AG didn’t have an answer, but kept saying it’s confidential and finally implied even judges can’t see the agreement. Then judges say “who interprets contracts in Maldives”, to which they responded “it’s courts”. Then judges ask again how they can interpret anything if they’re not allowed to see it. This is so embarrassing. I don’t have words to explain my second hand embarrassment. Usham lacks quality. He’s not fit to be the AG of Maldives. He just proved it again, in less than a month.

The Judiciary Has Come Under Significant State Capture In Nigeria — Amadi For example the appointments, if you look at some of those who are called to the bench, they’re family members of politicians. While judges who have done well and are not corrupt are stepped down. There’s an increasing capture of the judicial institution, and the judges are delighted in being dependent rather than being than independent. Dr. Sam Amadi ARISE News Analyst

🚨Rep. Eli Crane calls for An Amendment REQUIRING ALL Judges to Be AMERICAN Citizens in Order to Rule Over The Constitution: "I have no problem with that. A third of DC's judges were not born in America. These judges are trying to stop Trump. It shows how partisan they are."
