Actor Wen Junhui on national TV!! 😭😭😭❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥 CCTV6 (China Movie Channel) featured Jun’s interview abt his nomination for the Hundred Flowers Awards Full interview translation: 👩 continuing to bring you the ‘What Nominees Say’ interview series for the 38th Hundred Flowers Awards. Actor Wen Junhui has been nominated for Best Supporting Actor at the Hundred Flowers Awards for his role in The Shadow’s Edge. In this exclusive interview, WJH compared himself to the moss flower, quietly staying steadfast and waiting to bloom 🐱 Hello to all the viewers of China Movie News, I’m actor Wen Junhui, a nominee for Best Supporting Actor at the 38th Hundred Flowers Awards 🐱 in my eyes, the Hundred Flowers Awards are awards that belong to the audience. For actors, receiving recognition from the audience is one of the most important forms of evaluation 🐱 I think I’d be the moss flower, it’s a small and unassuming flower, but it quietly takes root and blooms beautifully in its own way.. just like its flower language, it quietly stays steadfast and keeps striving 👩 in the film TSE, WJH has many action scenes, he built a solid foundation in martial arts from a young age, which laid a strong foundation for him to become an action actor today 🐱HuFeng is an extremely intense character in my eyes, my experience as an actor since I was young actually helped me better portray HuFeng’s action sequences and his signature boxing style 🐱 when I’m in front of senior actors I admire, I want to show the best version of myself. Instead of just giving my usual 100%, I want to push myself to reach 120% and even more 🐱 actually during the costume fitting process, everyone had already gone through a great deal of practice. We had basically reached the point where we could complete the movements even with our eyes closed 🐱then on set, we would adjust our performances according to the differences in the scenes and props, while having extensive communication and discussions with the director. We polished everything little by little, making the final presentation more stable, faster and more accurate 👩 working alongside veteran actors has also allowed WJH to gain a great deal from the experience 🐱Brother Jackie Chan and Teacher Tony Leung have both devoted themselves deeply to the film industry for many years, their love and passion for cinema deeply moved me and allowed me to learn so many things 🐱 I also hope that in the future, I can continue working hard and putting down roots, so everyone can see the flowers I bloom

(rough trans) "i think i’ve given up on trying to satisfy everyone. nowadays, I’m thinking about how i can best repay those who love, support, and believe in me(..) In the end, this profession isn’t something i do just for my own benefit. this makes me reflect more. part of this comes from a sense of responsibility and from criticism towards the imperfect aspects of myself. i have a lot of thoughts. i plan to push myself harder, train more, and come back in a better form. even though i want to rush this process, i know i need time to get there. i also realize that my desire to do well shouldn’t get ahead of my abilities"

his words 🥺❤️ 🐱 I think the experiences I’ve had since I was young have nvr made me forget my profession as an actor, they’ve only made me more certain of what I’ve always believed in, I hope this nomination can be a little ‘answer sheet’ to the questions I’ve answered (along the way), and also a little preview of what’s to come before I share more works with everyone

This interview was taken when Kim Goeun was a 2nd year student at KNUA or around 2012 🤍 🐰: No, I mean of course I should be a good person… 👤: I think you’re a really good person 🐰: What I mean is, I hope the charm that people can feel from me becomes even bigger and stands out more when I’m acting. As an actor, I want to show my charm through my acting 👤: You mean rather than judging an actor based on their personal image, you want people to see and judge you more as an actor (through the acting). I think I’m pretty good at explaining this? 🐰: Yes you’re right~

Umar Nurmagomedov wants to become UFC champion for his family and to carry forward the legacy Khabib built. In an interview with Red Corner MMA, Umar said: “I want to win the UFC belt not because I want to prove that I’m this or that, but I want to become champion just for myself, for my father, who invested so much in me, for my brothers who believe in me, and for Khabib in particular. I want to recreate his story to make our legacy even greater.”

Nick Chubb says his obsession with greatness costed him the ability to be present in life, and influenced his decision to retire “I didn’t listen to music. I kind of just liked being aware of my surroundings. I guess it sounds kind of corny, but I didn’t have headphones. I’d kind of be lost in my thoughts. During games, it was like a blackout. That’s why people say I didn’t talk on the sidelines. I didn’t, ’cause I was so locked in on what was ahead of me.” “It’s like I wasn’t even there. And I would snap out of it when we were winning or when the game was over, and I would just kind of come back to myself. So that’s kind of why I needed to stop playing football, because I was never present.” “Even in the offseason, I’d be at home, and I’m just thinking about, okay, tomorrow I need to go harder in the weight room. I need to run faster. I need to hit these numbers. I’m just always constantly, over and over, like, how can I get better? I want more. I want to do more. Just nonstop, just wanting to be the best and be my best and work hard.” “And I look up, like, 30 years old, and I’m like, okay, there’s some things in life that I haven’t accomplished or I haven’t done just being a human, not an athlete. So that kind of led to me wanting to stop, more than just my injuries. Just living my life, living the life that I want to live.”

actor and idol jun 🥹 mingyu asked jun what he had been doing recently and Jun replied in Korean but when the interpreter was about to translate for him, he quickly stopped her and said “I’ll do it myself, thank you!” 😭 🐱 it would be better if I say this myself~ I can’t share too many details for now.. i stepped away and lived a different life (as an actor) for a while.. outside of this (idol) identity.. I hope (the project) will be able to meet everyone soon~ 👍

Jeremy Stephens on how he's been able to bounce between the UFC and BKFC: "After my last fight, I couldn’t sleep for three days. I was just stewing in my thoughts, and I reached out to Dana, the man himself… He was like, ‘Yeah, let’s do it.’ I’m doing what I want, when I want, and how I want... I was cut out of the UFC, and I crawled my way back... I’m just making the most of my opportunities."

Am I wrong for feeling like when I get married, I’d want to keep my father’s surname? I don’t want to remove it completely, I want to hyphenate it with my marital surname. The reason is that we’re all girls in my family, and most of my dad’s side is practically wiped out. I don’t want his legacy to just disappear. He’s a good man, and I want to carry his name in remembrance. I just hope I end up with a partner who won’t see that as a problem,” — lady shared

Derek Chisora plans to burn all of his boxing gear after his retirement fight: "[My kids] don't need to see my boxing gloves and boxing shorts for the sake of it. Legacy for them is the money in their bank account. Everything else is just trash, it's just that. I don't fight for my kids, I fight for me, for my enjoyment, for my pleasure. I brought my kids to the fight a couple of times, and I realized, I don't want this. This is my thing."
