His beautiful words that encourage everyone why pacing yourself actually matters 🥺🤍 🐨: I actually went through myself a burnout recently… was it in 2025? It’s not that I started to... hate music, but when it came to making music, to working on it, I hit burnout. I really did. Nothing felt fun anymore, and no matter what I did, I just couldn’t move forward. No matter what—seriously, no matter what. 🐨: I work on music on my Mac, right? and I didn’t turn it on for a whole year. A year? Maybe even a year and a half? Since sometime in late 2024? It’s not that I chose not to turn it on—I couldn’t. That thought kept coming to me, “Even if I turn it on, nothing will come out” or maybe, “Even if I turn it on, I won’t get anywhere close to what I want”. My interest just… how should I say it… completely dropped. So I couldn’t turn it on. I was scared—scared that I’d have to face that feeling again. So I kept my distance from it. 🐨: But this time, starting in Korea and then going on tour, meeting TEUMEs a lot as we move through 2025 and into 2026, without even realizing it, I felt refreshed. Like I’d been aired out and I thought, “Huh? should I try again?”, “I kind of want to do it again”. “I want to go back to when I really enjoyed this”. “I want to try again—the thing I loved back then. So I finally made up my mind and turned it on. and when I did… it had been so long that I got chills. I’d forgotten everything—the details, the keys, everything. “How did I even do this before?”, “What values did I use?” I’d forgotten it all. 🐨: I completely panicked. I thought, “Oh… is this how it ends?”, “Is this how I lose the thing I love?” I was honestly really scared. And then another thought came to me “turn a crisis into an opportunity”. Maybe this is a chance for me to find something else I love. Maybe I should let it go. I was almost halfway in a state of giving up. But somehow, my body followed through anyway. My hands kept moving—on their own. Somehow, I knew what to do, how to do it. and naturally, without stopping, the flow didn’t break. So maybe I want to stay with music for a really long time in my life. And I think this process of slowing myself down a bit was part of that. Looking back now, the pace had been way too fast, and I couldn’t control myself. I’d pushed myself to the limit of what I could create, and after that, there was nothing left. 🐨: At that point, I was kind of cruel to myself. I blamed myself for everything… It’s a really bad habit, I think, but it just happens reflexively. So I was really hard on myself. That’s when I realized I needed to take a step back, give myself some distance, and look at things over a longer period of time. Yeah… if you just move at your own pace—not faster, not slower—you can do something for a long time. So I think if you want to spend your life with something you really love—whatever it is—you can’t go too fast. If your passion just burns up too quickly, it can cause problems. That’s why pacing yourself matters. If you manage your pace, you can live your life alongside the things you love for a long, long time. I really felt it this time. And because of that, I was so happy. Being able to do what I love again brought back so many memories, and it felt like I’d returned to those days when I used to enjoy it so purely. And I think there are certain shades of blonde that suit me, and others that just don’t feel like me. But I really, really thought about it a lot. That said, my favourite hairstyle on myself is still black hair. So today, I got my hair and makeup done, looked in the mirror, and thought, “I need to go live.” So here I am.

Winning isn’t all that and neither is losing. It’s just something that happens. It’s the outcome. What really matters is the effort you put in and the journey you go through. I would say: Take a break if you’ve been stuck in something for too long. That’s actually why I stepped away for a while. I literally retired, and it was the best thing I could have done for myself. Through that retirement, I realized that I’m a bit of a creative person. I have ideas, my own sense of fashion, and I can be a little stubborn about it. So I came back to share all of my art. I love choreography and moving to music. I love to dance, and I do it on my own terms, no one tells me what to do. Even now, I still take breaks. (long clip & transcription ‼️) 🎭: if i was asked one year ago if i wanted to perform in Concerto, i would've said no. there was a different kind of event that i was asked if i would like to participate and i actually said no to it. because up until recently like a few months ago, i had extremely bad imposter syndrome. 🎭: i didn't feel like i deserved to stand on stage, i didn't feel like i was ready and i kept doubting myself and was like "there's no way i would be able to perform to people's standards and stuff" so i politely declined being in an event a long time ago. 🎭: this time for Concerto when i was asked to participate, i was thinking of the same thing too but i thought about it a little more. i thought to myself like "if you're not gonna participate now then when are you going to do it? if you keep saying no to all these opportunities, they're all going to slip past." so i keep telling myself, "if you're gonna do it now then when are you going to do it?" 🎭: and i was inspired a little by my recent short covers and dance covers because ive been planning to release them for quite a long time actually. just the thought of that made me think, "i'm trying to work so hard on these other things so why don't i just try to do this as well?" 🎭: so i finally decided that i'm going to try this time to step up on stage and i want to be the proof to everyone that works hard that if you work hard eventually something good will come your way 🎭: i want everyone to be able to look at me and be like, "if he can work hard and do what he wants to do, then i can do it too." i think that's one of the biggest reasons i decided to participate and stand on this stage is because i want to inspire people because i came from nothing 🎭: i had no singing experience, no dancing experience, no japanese experience. when i first joined, i didn't even know how to read hiragana very well. i didn't even know wtf katakana was 🎭: i'm always thankful for the love and support everyone gives me. if it wasn't for you guys, i would really have said no so thank you. i really owe everything to all of you that always around and always supporting #knoxclips thank you for not giving up!!!! 😭🧡

I’ve said something similar before, but honestly - who knows what might happen in the distant future, right? For now, though, I’m still in the process of learning more about myself - my tastes, my design style, and how I work. And I know that if I ever do create something, our ATINYs would definitely take interest and support it. But as I continue getting to know myself, I just want to say - and I’ll say this clearly - I have absolutely no intention of starting a brand or selling anything at this point. Not even a little bit. Right now, I just see this - working and designing - as another way of expressing myself. That’s all it is. At least for now, I don’t have any plans beyond that. So I know there are people who hope I might do something more with this, and on the other hand, there may also be some fans who start to wonder, “Is he planning something?” - and maybe feel a bit uneasy about it. Because it could seem like I’m taking on too much or not focusing on my main work. But I’m very aware of that myself, and honestly, I don’t want that to happen. I really don’t. So to be clear - I’ll say it firmly - I don’t have any such plans right now. It all started simply because I wanted to try wearing clothes from different brands, and eventually, I thought, “I want to wear what I want,” or “I want to create something I’d like to wear.” That’s the situation I’m in. I just want to keep expressing myself. As long as it doesn’t become a burden for me or interfere with my schedule, I’d love to keep doing fun and creative things and share them with our ATINYs. So… it’s really just that. Since I’ve been using something like a stylized “HJ” - kind of like a personal mark - some people might start thinking, “Oh, is he launching a brand?” But absolutely not. That’s not the case at all. I’ve just been adding that mark to the clothes I make because I think it looks nice, and it kind of makes it feel like it’s mine. That’s really all there is to it. To be honest, I do want to make a tag eventually, but the design isn’t fully clear in my head yet - I haven’t figured it out. So for now, I’m just using the logo that’s in my mind. And honestly, it’s not like I’m trying to hide anything or doing something secretly behind my members’ backs. I just wanted to talk about it openly and put it out there. Because that way, I can really have fun with it. And if our ATINYs say, “Oh, that looks nice,” then I can just feel happy about it as it is. And even if I end up making something that doesn’t turn out so great sometimes, if ATINYs say, “You made that?” - even that, I can just laugh and enjoy it for what it is. So that’s what it is. That’s really the reason. Continuously creating - not just in music, but in other areas too - gives me so much energy. And I truly believe that this kind of creativity brings new inspiration to my performances as well. I think that’s what it is - the process of constantly making something new gives me another kind of drive, another kind of motivation. That’s what it feels like to me. So… that’s why I enjoy it. And honestly, that’s also why - even more so - I feel more motivated when it comes to things like choreography practice, or even just the basics of rapping. It makes me want to put in even more effort.

Hello everyone, hello. It’s raining a lot outside, right? Yes, I hope everyone’s being careful not to get caught in the rain. As for food… I’m planning to eat a little later. Yeah, I’ll eat later. Last night, I… I really thought a lot. I kept thinking and thinking, and after all that, I felt like - for the people I love, I should at least speak honestly. Rather than just pretending nothing happened and letting it pass, I wanted to say this properly. Because when I’ve done something wrong, I want to say I’m sorry. I believe the closer the relationship, the more careful you have to be. And yesterday - honestly, it was such a good day, right? It was such a good day… it was our Jongho’s birthday. We each congratulated him personally, but, if I’m honest, I don’t think I thought deeply enough about it. I don’t think I did, and there’s really no excuse for that. Because all of you love ATEEZ and love Jongho, and I should have been more thoughtful, more detailed. So I really wanted to sincerely apologize for that part. Even though Jongho and I are close, that’s beside the point. The closer you are to someone, the more you should be considerate. But because I thought, “Ah, we’re close,” I just lightly said, “Oh, his birthday passed already,” in a joking way… and I’ve been thinking about that. I think my wording yesterday was quite strong. You don’t have to unconditionally hold me or comfort me. Really, it’s okay. I’m really okay. I mean it. But still… when I think that my words might have hurt you, it doesn’t matter how I am. It just keeps coming to mind, over and over. Honestly… it’s true that my wording was strong. I think I was too excited, too comfortable - maybe I got carried away. The words themselves came out too harsh, and I regret that. And I want to be clear - I never, ever meant something like “mokie jolida/being/to choked” toward you guys. It was just something I said lightly, the kind of thing friends might say to each other. But still… when I thought about it later, just the fact that you had to hear those words made my heart feel uneasy. All through last night, I kept thinking, “Maybe… maybe I shouldn’t have said something like that.” Words with that kind of negative tone - I really shouldn’t say them. I wasn’t thinking clearly. And, because my family is really, really close - my mom and dad are both very warm (hearted) people, and my noona/older sister sometimes calls me “oppa” in a cute, teasing way. But I guess I got too carried away and just said it without thinking… Still, one thing I can say for sure - and I’m not just saying this - in our family, my noona/sister is my noona/sister. Truly. Even though I said it jokingly, now I realize that it was inappropriate, so I’ll be more careful from now on. The reason I wanted to talk to you like this is because, even if it’s just a small thing, when I do something wrong, I want to say it right away. I really want to. And if I do something wrong, I want you to tell me. Because I’m ignorant about some things. There are many things I still don’t know. So sometimes I make mistakes. I hope you can tell me comfortably. jihoon said it was since mmm dance break that he hurt his back :( 🐶 i was honestly really flustered on stage. you know how there’s a level of pain you can push through and a level you just can’t.. 🐶 after the dance break we still had king kong and other stages, so i tried to do as much as i could. whenever i briefly moved to the side in between, i told the managers that something felt strange with my back and asked them to have the physical therapist and massage therapist wait below the stage and to bring pain relief patches 🐶 before boy, when we briefly step off, and after bona bona, i quickly put a patch on my back. but because of the sweat, it kept sliding down, and it just wasn’t working. during the introductions, i was breaking out in cold sweats because it hurt so much. i honestly don’t even remember exactly how i got through it 🐶 after finishing that part, i had to go back up for move. because i came down to check on my condition, the members’ first ment ended up getting longer, and i felt really anxious. i said i would go up for move and at least try it 🐶 so i went up to perform but it wasn’t working. while doing move, i started feeling like i might end up causing trouble instead. you know that feeling like you don’t want to show you’re being treated.. how could i show a bad side of myself to our fans? 🐶 so after finishing move, i thought that if i pushed myself any more, it might affect our upcoming asia tour, our comeback schedule, and everything else. so i said i should go backstage for a bit. back there, i received treatment really intensely and did what i could

Q: What is youth to you? ⭐️: I think so. Wow, it’s only hitting me now. “You’re only in your youth because you’re in pain”. I think that’s really true. When I think about it, it’s always painful and hard, but I feel like there’s something to learn from it. My most painful memory is when I felt I had lost myself. When I felt the most powerless and exhausted. The early days of my twenties still make me feel sad, like I just want to give myself a hug. Was that before or after debut? Anyway, it wasn’t long after I first debuted. I remember being on stage and suddenly feeling the spotlight had turned off just for me. Even though everything around m was bright and full of cheers, I felt like I was standing under a back light on stage. There was this moment where I thought, “Something‘s really wrong”. When I felt the most powerless and exhausted. The early days of my twenties still make me feel sad, like I just want to give myself a hug. Was that before or after debut? Anyway, it wasn’t long after I first debuted. I remember being on stage and suddenly feeling the spotlight had turned off just for me. Even though everything around m was bright and full of cheers, I felt like I was standing under a back light on stage. There was this moment where I thought, “Something‘s really wrong”. #SEONGHWA talked about filming challenges with junior idols because he knows that feeling so well and wants to help them in any way he can 😭 ⭐️: these days things are going so well, so I feel good. A lot of people recognize and congratulate me a lot, and... I feel really thankful. I also, in my own way, try to find what I can do and do it. That’s my mindset. So I wondered what I could do, and I just filmed challenges diligently, contacted people here and there and filmed. I would do my hair and makeup on my day off, go to the broadcast station and even bring a gift. That one moment would stay as such a good memory for me, and the senior would say a lot of good things to me that it would become a good connection. I thought, “someday, if I can, I want to do that too.” I don’t know if I can help in a big way yet (with popularity), but if it’s something good for those juniors I’ll do everything I can. I know that feeling so well and it's such a precious one, so how could I refuse that?You just have to do it, ofc. George Lucas on how he had to reluctantly write the screenplay for 'American Graffiti' (1973) & the confidence he gained from the movie's success: "When I was doing 'American Graffiti' (1973) I was still struggling with my ‘I don’t want to be a writer’ syndrome. I had some good friends of mine that I wanted to write the screenplay, but it took me like two years just to get the money to do a screenplay. And I got a little tiny amount of money and—which I had to go actually to the Cannes Film Festival to get on my own. So finally I got this money. I called back and I said, you know, “I got the money. We can start working on the screenplay.” And they said, “Oh, we don’t want to do that now. We’ve got our own low-budget picture off the ground and we can’t write it.” I said, “Oh no.” I said, “What am I going to do? I am in Europe and I’m not going to be back for like three months and I want to get this thing off the ground.” So they recommended another student from school that I knew pretty well. I had a story treatment that laid out the entire story scene by scene, so I called him over the phone from London and I said, “Do you want to do this?” And he said, “Okay.” The person I was working with at that time as a producer made a deal with him for the whole money because there wasn’t very much. It was so tiny that he could only get him to do it for the whole amount of money. When I came back from England, the screenplay was a completely different screenplay from the story treatment. 250714 #GISELLE Instagram Live : have you seen my elle photoshoot? i did a photoshoot for the august issue of elle. what happened was, i was talking with one of the loewe unnies about how i’d been wanting to bring cooper here to live with me, and i was already planning to bring him soon anyway. and then, it just so happened that the photoshoot was around that time… so i was like, ‘oh? it’d be so nice to do it together.’ because honestly, it’s something i’d kind of dreamed about for a long time. even before i had cooper, i used to think that one day, when i got older, i’d really love to do something like that. so i’m really, really thankful to elle and loewe for making that happen. i was so happy. and cooper came out so cute in the photos, so please look forward to the issue! we took a bunch of adorable pics this time.

I really, really, really wanted to drop this song last year. When I first put out the snippet, I was so excited - but it was hard to finish it on time because everything was a blur. I was sick and weak and nauseous and tired and my body just wouldn't do what I wanted it to. Even in the snippet video, I wasn't feeling great. I was just trying my best. I adore Chike's voice and I knew it was him that had to be on the song with me. When I asked him to give me a verse, he was so ready to go, but he was out of town. As soon as he came back, he came over to my studio the next day 🥹. I got a lotta respect for him. He didn't know I was pregnant and suffering 😅 Watching this video back now, I can't even understand where the energy came from. When the song was done, I struggled to mix it. Even so, I decided to master it myself. I hate mastering, so I don't know what I thinking. I was so disappointed that I couldn't meet the deadline. Everyone had fallen in love with the song and was asking me to put it out. I didn't have the energy to make content. I don't even remember them recording this video. Given how much I love this song, I'm a little bummed I couldn't give it energy it deserves. But please, know that a lot of love and resilience went into this song. There are so many people recognizing us, so many people congratulating us too, and I think these days have been something I’m really grateful for. I’m also the type of person who believes in finding what I can do and doing that. So I kept thinking about what it is that I can do, and I figured I should just work hard filming challenges. I reached out to people here and there to film challenges too, and even when I’m tired, I just want to help somehow, so I’ve been working hard. I wonder if it was of any help? Even if it helped just a little, then that’s enough. 🐰 And there was a time when I was like that too. I really wanted to film a challenge with a sunbaemin I admired so much, so on my day off I got my hair and makeup done, went to the broadcasting station, even bought a gift, and went there. That one thing became such an incredibly good memory for me. And at that time, that sunbaemin also said a lot of kind things to me, and seeing it develop into a good relationship made me think, “Someday, if I’m able to, I should do that too.” I still don’t know whether I can be of that much help, but if that’s something meaningful for those people, then I’ll do everything within what I’m able to do. 🐹 “Back to Life” was made about two or three years ago. I really wanted to try making a full-on rock song, so I told producer Helix that I wanted to make something like that and asked him to send me a track. He sent me one, and then I started working on it. Even the very first draft had all English lyrics. Back then, I wrote everything by myself, so there were a lot of grammatical mistakes and parts where the expressions weren’t strong enough. I kept it as a guide for a while, and then this year, when talk came up about doing a SKZ-PLAYER, I thought maybe this would be the right song to bring back out. So I asked LB to work on the lyrics. Based on the message I wanted to convey, I asked him to help fix the grammar and flesh things out more, and that’s how the song was completed. I think this was the right timing to release it. So I rerecorded everything, revised the track too, and that’s how it came out. 🐹 “Where did you make ‘Back to Life’?” I made it at my old studio, not the one I’m using now. 🐹 “What program do you use?” Cubase! 🐹 “When did you film the music video?” You know how I sent that Bubble message really early in the morning saying that I was going to do a lot this year? I think I also said there was something I really wanted to show you. That was actually the day we filmed it.

I don't care about this movie because I made it for someone else.'" Q: "I imagine that's a very hard thing to do in Hollywood, though, is to keep your vision clear with so much collaboration, with so much going on, with so many other people in the mix." "It really depends on the project. For instance, it was hard on Guardians, you know, where I feel like what ended up happening on that movie was people, we did end up, they did end up asking me like, 'this is for kids, right?' "And I got to honestly say that I knew it was for kids, but I didn't want to make it for kids. You know what I mean? And I think that's what happened to that movie. It did get like second guessed at the end and turned more into a movie for kids. "My point of view is I can think like a child if I want. I have that enthusiasm for movies and what I think is cool. You, the collective you, don't need to try and second guess me and go, 'this is what we think a kid would like.' "And then it's like, 'oh, a song' or whatever. Then you're just like, 'okay, whatever.'"

"Yeah, I think so." Q: "As a fan yourself, too? "What I want to see, yeah, like as a, like, you only have the benchmark of yourself. Like, if you ever try and make a movie for someone other than yourself... I feel like you're going to blow it. "Because you can't, you don't know how anyone else is going to feel. So like, you know, you go, 'okay, do I find that emotionally real? Do I find that interesting? Is that the Krypton I want to go to? Is that the Superman I want to see fight?' "You know, those are the questions you ask yourself constantly. And I think once you, if you're constantly answering yes to that, then you'll end up the more, the film will end up being more interesting to you. "And ultimately, the film being interesting to you allows you to make the movie better because you're interested. "If you make it for someone else over a two-year period, you're just going to not give a sh*t at some point because you're just like, 'I don't care. This is not my movie. I don't care about this movie because I made it for someone else.'" Q: "I imagine that's a very hard thing to do in Hollywood, though, is to keep your vision clear with so much collaboration, with so much going on, with so many other people in the mix." "It really depends on the project. For instance, it was hard on Guardians, you know, where I feel like what ended up happening on that movie was people, we did end up, they did end up asking me like, 'this is for kids, right?' "And I got to honestly say that I knew it was for kids, but I didn't want to make it for kids. You know what I mean? And I think that's what happened to that movie. It did get like second guessed at the end and turned more into a movie for kids. "My point of view is I can think like a child if I want. I have that enthusiasm for movies and what I think is cool. You, the collective you, don't need to try and second guess me and go, 'this is what we think a kid would like.' "And then it's like, 'oh, a song' or whatever. Then you're just like, 'okay, whatever.'"
