I just learnt something amazing from C.om Instagram page. The camel gave birth but unfortunately there were few baby camels nearby. So, by mistake she attached to the wrong baby camel and she ignored her original baby. Since they get attached to their baby by first learning each other's scent, Ahmed used an old trick to get the mother camel to accept her real baby. They closed the nose with cloths and frankincense and they closed the urethra with sticks and rope, then leave the camel for half to one hour. The frankincense in the nose is to reset the scent of the wrong baby so that by the time they're done, the memory of the old scent is gone and she can take in the scent of this new baby. Closing the urethra makes the camel feel in sort of labour pain. When they finally loosen everything, she thinks that she just gave birth and accept her real baby. They would have isolated them by now such that there won't be any other baby around to distract. Amazing method and thought process. African science baby! See how protective of the baby she became at the end. Tainkyu 😊
