Her friends moved on, and she couldn’t. That's ok! It just shows how human she is, and how being so human brings out all of her flaws so naturally that it hits perfectly. She just needed headpats and praise. When I first read Ark Guardian, I saw all of her struggles. She was keeping it all together as the leader of the squad, and losing all of her precious people one by one broke her. The wound the Ark gave her was the last straw.
