The Northman is one of a handful of films that I’ll always remember fondly for ushering me back into theaters after COVID. I saw this in theaters in late April of ‘22, when the world was just getting back on its feet, and it was a great memory. 2026 means new Robert Eggers.

This is really one of the most horrifying, yet awesome stories you will see. A woman named Tina Fey recorded the video below at Pensacola Beach in Florida late last week. This massive shark just washed up on the beach as people were swimming. After wildlife rescue and lifeguards said there was nothing they could do, a group of men tried to pull it back into the water despite the shark seeming to try and lunge at the men. Thankfully they got it back into the water without getting harmed. Would you have done this had you been on that beach?

A robot just went to a beehive dressed as a beekeeper, and it did not go according to plan. Edward Warchocki, Poland's viral humanoid robot, showed up at an apiary in full beekeeper gear - hat, veil, gloves - and the footage that followed turned into one of the funniest robot clips online this year. It stumbled through the grass, knocked into a hive, nearly toppled over more than once, and at one point appeared to make a run for it, clearly done with the bees, before its handler caught it and walked it back in. 💬 what is the song that you think turned out the best, or the one who have the most affection for (excluding the one being released now) 🍑 i think it’s super. it was a song that turned seventeen into heroes. when i think about it now, how did we even manage to practice it like that. looking back it is still unbelievable, we matched so well, everything fell into place for this song to be made. we really became heroes through that song, so it is my all time favourite song

What a (story)time. 🏅 Back in 2005, Jerry Colangelo called me up to Chicago for a USA Basketball interview. I showed up in sweats, but I had my suit in a bag. When I met the basketball legend, I asked if I could duck into the restroom real quick. Came out in a full suit and tie. Wanted to show him I took representing my country seriously. By the end of the interview, I knew I was on the team. Three years later, we brought home gold as the “Redeem Team.” This coming weekend, we’re getting inducted into Basketball HOF as a team. Still can’t believe it. Proud to have been part of something bigger than basketball, something that’s stood the test of time.

The Chief Health Officer is now trying to claim the Covid vaccine reduced all cause mortality. I.e. deaths from other causes apart from Covid. This is despite the fact that deaths jumped from 162,000 to 172,000 in 2021 and to 190,000 in 2022. Seriously you just can’t make this stuff up. When asked why deaths jumped they can’t give a straight answer. They are still looking into it. If they are still looking into it how they rule out the vaccines? In 2021 there were only 300 more Covid deaths than 2020 so Covid can’t explain the rise in deaths. It’s worth noting the jump in deaths occurred from May onwards, one month after the vaccine rollout. They are just insulting our intelligence at this point. The truth is that they are lying. #auspol

Whelp… the year is not going as planned. We’re getting another machine. We’re roughly $30k deep into repairs this year on the 2019 Bobcat and it has run for only a few hours all year. It’s on its 4th or 5th service visit since the season started. We get it back, run it for an hour or two, get another major breakdown, and take it right back to the dealer. So we’re picking up another TL12 tomorrow. We could have made 12 payments on it just in the repair expenses we’ve had at Bobcat this year alone. So much for no new equipment this year 🤦‍♂️ The 2019 Bobcat is just going to be running grapples, power rakes, and plows.

What you’re looking at here is nothing more than the liquid from a stone-softening batch I made back in December—basically, waterglass. The store-bought kind doesn’t do this nice, gelatinous thing. It just shrinks up and dries out. I’ve never seen it take on this kind of jelly-like form before. But this one—just look at the color—isn’t pure water glass. It’s got other minerals in it, left over from the cooking process. And check out the end of the video to see what it turned into after a month sitting in the pitcher! As for what it’s good for—don’t ask. It’s just one of those phenomena, and we’re happy it exists.
