Just another day in Benue State, Nigeria.

For those that didn't understand the connection to Benue State, it is a paradox.👇🏾

A mango processing plant, Teragro Mango was once set up in Benue State, but it packed up due to reasons known to all of us.

But, can you imagine this? Imported Mangoes in Nigeria because the mangoes are not available all year round.

Meanwhile, this mango that is as big as my head, was from Benue State. Virtually every state in Nigeria, including those in the North, produce mangoes between March and September. However, about 60% are allowed to rot away while the rest are hurriedly eaten before they go bad.

The most important thing in this conversation is that the supply/value chain of mangoes must be preserved so that feedstock would be available for factories to produce the mango puree, juices, concentrates, chips, leather etc.

I never knew Benue people had Asian blood on them 😂

Now you know...😁 And Benue people also have yummy mangoes and other fruits like them.

If you drive through Ugep, through Obudu, head to Vandeikya, kwande and even Gboko you go see fruits, fresh and spotless. Nigeria dey waste. Lovely trip to take if no be insecurity. Infact between Vandeikya and Kwande you go chop fruit ehhhhhh. Any kind! Mango surplus
