their product video ads is always good, but why the actual apps experiences is the opposite 🥴

Whoever at MS is responsible for these, I hope they stop or go work for logo design. These remind me of those kids that used slidio for their presentations in college. Tons of distracting animations and slide transitions, low quality content. Yesterday I watched one of these for the new planner in teams. Ostensibly the video was to introduce the software. But there's no voice, and no actual screenshots/captures of the software being used to do something useful; just pretty buttons floating over glass, constantly transforming into other buttons or graphics. By the end of the video I knew no more about the new planner app than I did at the start. Same for this one. It has to do with themes, but I bet I wouldn't recognize the software from any image in this video.

I continue to be fascinated by the difference in quality between these presentation videos and your software interfaces

they always produce great videos, yes… but then… 😬

If only the final products looked anything like those videos… 🫠
