Just because they are doing the corruption in plain sight does not make it any less damning. This week, I will ask the Senate to vote to reiterate a basic principle: no president should take a $400 million gift from a foreign country.

It's a Boeing built by American workers in the USA. They put food on American tables when Qatar bought it new for $400M. They've been unsuccessfully trying to sell it since 2020 and now we're getting it back for free. L3Harris, an American company with American workers is refitting it in the USA for delivery to the US Air Force in under a year for 10% of what Boeing is charging us. What exactly is the problem?

If any other president accepted a $400 million jet from a foreign government, made taxpayers spend hundreds of millions more to secure it, and then had it transferred to his own foundation after leaving office, it would be a full-blown national scandal. This is NOT NORMAL. Neither are the billions he is making while in office, the deals his family is profiting from, or the companies connected to his sons benefiting from massive federal support. We cannot normalize a president making billions in office. We cannot normalize his family cashing in on federal deals. And we cannot normalize corruption just because Trump does it every week.
