Hoping that I am not revealing top secret information, but I've long had the impression the Pentagon has more snow removal and road treatment equipment per square mile than just about anywhere else. Do they get their weather briefings from Military Intelligence, or do they just read Capital Weather Gang and watch our local TV weather folks like the rest of us? I have so many questions. The Great America 250 Smoke Out: For those of us on the south side of the DC fireworks, it started out great. The beauty of it didn't last long on our side. Watch what happens as I speed it up about 40 times. I said to our guests after the initial bursts, "That's not good, the smoke is coming our way." We were soon enveloped in a wall of smoke. Inside, with the windows closed, our eyes started stinging and it smelled. The smoke was visible for quite a while, and you could still smell it outside this morning. We were the unlucky ones this time, with the wind blowing our way. NEW: A family of geese, walking instead of flying, clogged I-66 westbound for more than an hour this afternoon. A Metro Transit Police K-9 officer protected them by himself for about 45 minutes. After VA State Police and ArlingtonCountyPD joined in, there appeared to be a failed effort to guide them off at the Sycamore Street exit. A second appearance of the police K-9 apparently then spooked mom and dad. From the VDOT Northern VA/ video it appears that, in the end, the kids and parents became separated. Not the happiest of endings, but not the worst. Worries of Tornadoes and severe weather is just life in the Midwest. But, born and raised here, I can tell you I feel extreme uptick. I visit yearly after years away. My Spidey Sense went off because despite T-storms today it remained humid and hot. And… midnight was met with a light lightning storm and constant growl. Like…constant cloud-to-cloud lightning. 20-minutes later the tornado warning hit with sirens blaring. In a way, I was surprised but also not. I felt it coming, my youth was exactly this. This is the first storm I recorded on my return. I used to stand outside my Illinois driveway, skies green and ominous watching the black wall of clouds drop like waterfalls and black cotton candy — until the air got cold, rain fell, and storms passed. #tornado #severeweather #illinois

The October Surprise! 29 years ago today, October 22, 1996. A Major Storm targets Kansas City and rain changed to snow and after 5-8” of the heavy wet snow accumulated, the trees came tumbling down! That "Not from here, ma'am" from the pilot says a lot. The crew had their onboard weather radar showing them what was ahead. Airborne weather radar detects precipitation intensity by transmitting energy ahead of the aircraft and analyzing the signals reflected back. Generally, the colors indicate: Black: little or no precipitation Green: light precipitation Yellow: moderate precipitation Red: heavy precipitation/significant convective activity Magenta: extreme precipitation or severe storm cells Modern systems go even further. Honeywell's MultiScan ThreatTrack can assess thunderstorm threats and identify potential lightning, hail, and convective activity within and around storm cells. Its enhanced turbulence detection can identify severe and ride-quality turbulence up to 40 NM ahead. It can even monitor developing storm cells below the aircraft, tracking their growth and predicting potential bow-wave turbulence. So while ATC provides the bigger traffic picture, the pilots have a real-time weather picture directly along their flight path. Florida weatherman: Over my 34 years, confidently, I went on TV and told you, the storm will turn. I'm not sure I can do that this year because of the cuts and the attack on science. Central and South Florida National Weather Service offices are currently 20 to 40% understaffed. There's a chance that NOAA hurricane hunter aircraft will not be able to fly this year. With less reconnaissance we may be flying blind and not know how strong a hurricane is before it reaches the coastline

Something is NOT right in our skies… There has been not one, not two, but THREE “Tornado Emergency” warnings from the National Weather Service in the past THREE DAYS at various locations all across our country. 😳⚠️🌪️ I have NEVER seen that before, and I have tracked the weather for a long, long time. Just to give some perspective, a “Tornado Emergency” event is supposed to be EXTREMELY RARE. They are reserved only for the MOST violent, and devastating Tornadoes that threaten heavily populated areas. It’s NOT every day you see one of those. It’s FAR past time we start to address the HUGE elephant in the room, WEATHER MODIFICATION. You CANNOT discount the FACT that our Government IS altering the weather, and this is somehow “normal”. That would be very disingenuous. They are also trying to BLOCK OUT THE SUN, and .Bill Gates is FUNDING that effort. If you think that these actions aren’t accelerating VIOLENT weather patterns, then you have another thing coming!

Big development in the 9/11 archives Over 11 hours of raw, extended high definition footage from the Naudet brothers was just released yesterday. It not only provides never before seen footage, but much clearer film that was previously broken and incomplete. This includes the firefighters all returning back to the station following the 9/11 attacks, what that first night looked like, raw conversations amongst the men, and working “the pile” as seen here. It also provides what I believe is a clear shot of Bill Biggart in his final moments before tower 2 came down. If you’re interested in raw, extended footage that shows the small details of what it was like to be there, I would recommend it.

It was a relatively quiet week on the Sun, though a series of coronal mass ejections that erupted on Jan. 8 — just before this reporting period — led to a moderate geomagnetic storm on Jan. 10, with auroras intensifying across high-latitude regions including Iceland and northern Canada. SDO remains in its Earth eclipse period, so you may notice brief blackouts in the video when Earth temporarily blocks the spacecraft’s view. These Earth eclipses will continue daily through Feb. 1.

This was Green Bay, Wisconsin ….. this week, June 2026. 🤯 Hail reports including ping-pong ball size and up to golf ball size in spots, especially on the northwest and west sides of Green Bay. Some areas had it so heavy that it piled up like snowbanks. Residents there described it as looking like “Christmas in June" due to the hail piles. 🤯 I don’t know about you but I’m not at the point where I miss that weather or wintery look. Not missing winter one bit. Not even a little. 💯 That’s a lot of hail damaged cars. 😳 Have you ever seen or maybe lived in an area that received a freak storm like that where it looked like winter in the summer?
