I didn't need to see this on the anniversary of my Mother's passing... 24 years and still hurts. She reminded me a lot of Joyce... and she passed in a similar way. Still why I have a hard time watching season 5.

I still remember that line “how about anything.” Buffy portrayed the tension between mother and daughter so thoroughly that it expressed what many people felt. I also remember the background music “Inconsolable” that played during the conversation between Buffy and Joyce when Buffy was about to go fight the Master in Season 1.
