Dumbass is doing the meme.

Everyone missed the most important thing here, copper was the only one that was good for us, only problem was “we” dont want to mine it!

Every single time. The brain rot of America’s youth and young adults is astounding.

You can absolutely live a plastic free life but it won't be a very long one. As soon as you need medical assistance you will die, plastic is essential for basically all of the medical progress of the 20th century.

I don’t think he’s really making a great point, or “schooling” her at all. She’s trying to figure out ways to encourage the use of less single use plastics. Just because her phone case and water bottle lid are plastic, that doesn’t mean we shouldn’t try to use less single use

If he really wanted to see her head explode, he should have asked her how plastic is made.

She was so clueless .

Single use plastics are an issue, but the "Just stop oil" kind of nonsense is absurd as well. Back when I was a kid the environmental groups were all concerned about deforestation and the overuse of wood products. Supermarkets switched from paper to plastic because it was cheaper, and they could score some marketing points with the Greenies. Now they're all freaking out about the plastic bags, so some stores are going back to paper. Some states, like California and Washington have been basically trying to force people to use multi-use bags by charging to use the ones at the store; yet mutli-use bags are made out of plastic too! Recycling largely doesn't work either because it's not done efficiently and at scale. Companies advertise their products as partially recycled as a marketing ploy, not because they're particularly environmentally conscious.

Single use plastics are a problem. I don't have a good solution for all of it, but in a high trust, high IQ society, we could use a lot more reusable glass and metal. Just sayin

How about the Frame of the glasses or lenses instead? 🤷🏻♂️

No-one's saying don't use plastic per se. They're saying reduce the amount of single-use plastic, which makes a lot of sense

I fucking hate smug cunts like this. Bitch, I used to have glass bottles, even metal ones that were perfect and now every object in the supermarket has plastic in and around it. Obviously we need to use it but, it's been made a health hazard and economic threat.

@SenMullin This is intellectually tone-deaf or dishonest, at best. I think you might have a single-use brain?

Why do people like this ass get a platform to speak!

If she's part of the government, it actually explains a lot of things.

We go to the grocery store and get all sorts of items in plastic jars, lids, wraps and various containers, but we can't put them in plastic bags, or have to pay for the privilege.

We can use petroleum and still invest alternative energy that we don’t have to fight wars in Iran for or suffer wild swings to the economy when interrupted. Like having cars and horses and trains all at the same time.

basic economics - if there is no demand, there will be no supply

Wire insulation, go back to rubber and cotton?

My family is doing what we can to get plastics out of our lives. Sick of people defending this. We used to be able to buy shit without plastic. Now it's next to impossible. Entire industries were destroyed so we can poison ourselves with this crap. Milk was delivered in glass.

Those are stupid arguments. You can just limit som stupidity plastic uses.

Later in this clip, he said to the effect, ‘ don’t come here with the problem, come here when you have a suitable solution.’

He forgot to mention the bra, hygiene products, any medication, any cosmetics, any cable, most furniture, etc. etc.

i think it'd be cool if they taxed plastic as much as they do oil, they taxed glass for some reason... "too heavy", why they dont tax plastic packets for "too toxic" "too unrecyclable" we've found microplastics in our brain, balls, blood, food, water, top of mount everest...

It’s about reducing. She’s doing her part.

See how he tried to come up with a reason for copper? The only reason is that its a bit expensive but the benefits are worth it.

bobo spotted

He should started off with his main point. He sounded like a dumbass trying to reach for anything asking all these things that have plastic. Then ends his sentence with “you don’t want it, don’t use it” as if she’s the maker of all these products and avoidable

Literally all of my diabetes equipment is plastic and most of it single use plastic

@GTCT19144 He’s being a disingenuous prick. Most of the stuff that is plastic or contains plastic materials is designed for corporate profit, not user experience or durability.

@TobyTheGrey2025 She has such an odd color

Didn't even point out her glasses

Omggg he sounds slow 😂😂😂
