Just got back from Brazil, where I sat down for a three-hour interview with President Jair Bolsonaro. Read entire captain 👇🏽

Exactly one hour after we wrapped up, the President was charged and is now facing 38 years in prison. The news was shocking, and the atmosphere immediately became even more intense. Brazil is deeply divided. The justice system is doing everything in its power to imprison Bolsonaro and prevent him from running in 2026. Sound familiar? The key difference is that, in Brazil’s Supreme Court, only 2 out of 11 judges are on his side. To say the temperature was high here would be an understatement. Because of security concerns, our entire team of nine had to keep a low profile. The current government DID NOT WANT this interview to happen. We were escorted in armored trucks as we navigated the city. Justice Alexandre de Moraes and President Lula do not want the people of Brazil—or the world—to see this interview. Bolsonaro has been silenced for far too long, but in this conversation, he held NOTHING back. The President was intense, emotional, and even funny—all at the same time. We’re now officially back in the U.S. with all the assets from the interview. This was by far one of my favorite interviews of all time. Beyond politics, it was an incredible experience to learn about Brazil’s culture, the unique dynamics between its states, and even engage in a spirited dinner debate about which region parties the hardest and which one produces the biggest businesses. One thing is for sure: the people of Brazil treated us royally. Every interaction was welcoming, insightful, and filled with passion. I can’t wait for the people of Brazil to hear from their leader.
