Great. Glad you can afford to drive a Tesla. Most people can’t. Or if we chose to, we can’t afford a single family home for convenient charging. Electric is a nice luxury, but can’t replace gas cars.

I read all the haters coming out of the woodwork about you liking Tesla’s. I get it, once you get a Tesla you can’t stop screaming to the hills about how great they are. Because they are! Can’t really say that about the battery … they continue to deteriorate with every use until it they are rendered useless and you get to spend $7,000 to $20,000 replacing them … will be substantially more soon with bidenflation. Of course … if you look on the bright side … dead batteries create more jobs for the children in Africa who mine the Cobalt necessary to build those batteries.

It’s clear that Elon is actually worried about putting so much intelligence in a Tesla bc it feels it can get bored. “Have you tried Tesla self-driving lately? The car, it just increasingly feels sentient. It feels like a living creature. And that’ll only get more so… I’m actually thinking we probably shouldn’t put so much intelligence into the car because it might get bored. Imagine you’re stuck in a car and that’s all you could do. You don’t put Einstein in a car. It’s like why am I stuck in a car? So there’s actually probably a limit to how much intelligence you put in a car to not have the intelligence be bored.”

The fact that you can just get in a Tesla, input your destination, start FSD with a button on your screen, then have the car literally take you anywhere you need to go all by itself never gets old. I don’t see myself ever owning another car other than a Tesla for this reason.

One new feature in Tesla FSD V14.3.5 is you can now open Camera Preview at any time, even if your Tesla is driving. This includes the interior cabin camera, so if you want to keep a better eye on your kids while you drive, you now can.

I think everyone should listen to this. Tesla FSD has gotten so incredibly good that people are now getting so hung up on the lingering issues and completely dismissing the fact that we literally have self-driving cars. When I grew up the idea of a self-driving car was something out of science fiction. Ten year old Devin could have never guessed that later in life his car would be driven by electricity and drive itself. The future is cool, appreciate it for what it is and don't get too hungup on the imperfections along the way. Tesla is actively putting out new updates as fast as they possibly can to continue to make FSD better - let them cook, and enjoy the ride.

Tesla FSD has now driven more than 8 billion real world miles, including more than 3 billion city miles. In Tesla’s latest safety data, FSD logged about 1 major collision every 5.3 million miles, which Tesla says is about 7x fewer major collisions than the U.S. average. On top of this, Tesla FSD delivers 7x fewer minor collisions and 5x fewer off-highway collisions than the average. It’s significantly safer than anything out there. This AI system is learning from millions of Teslas out in the real world, not from geofenced areas, like literally anywhere a Tesla can drive. Driving a Tesla in Europe is fun and works well (will be even better with FSD) … BUT, there is one very common and annoying issue that really needs to be addressed. Crossing country borders, especially for those who live close to the borders is extremely annoying because connectivity is often lost and can only be regained quickly by doing a two-button reset on the move. This is really a big issue because you also lose navigation while the connection is lost and happens so frequently this is becoming the unofficial standard practice. I’ve heard from many European Tesla owners that they really wish there was a better solution and it would make ownership and driving a much better experience. Hopefully Tesla Europe, Middle East & Africa and Tesla can figure out and offer some kind of software update to eliminate this frequent customer complaint issue!

I just press a button… and my Tesla takes me to my destination. No stress, no constant steering, no thinking about every little turn. It just drives me safely there. And honestly, it’s hard to explain this feeling to someone who hasn’t experienced the latest software yet. It’s freakin 2026... If your car isn’t electric and can’t take you from parking lot to parking lot by itself, it's like using a flip phone with a keyboard… or riding a horse in this era. That might sound dramatic, but once you see what’s actually happening behind the scenes, it starts to make sense. When I activate Tesla’s Full Self-Driving, the car is doing far more than simple cruise control that other car companies show off... it's really funny when I see them advertise it tbh. My Tesla is literally watching the world around it with eight cameras that give it a full 360° view. All that video feeds into the onboard AI computer inside the car, which is constantly analyzing everything around it like cars, lanes, pedestrians, traffic lights, construction zones, and making decisions in real time. Tesla has millions of cars on the road, and every single one is helping train the system. Even when people are driving manually, the AI is running quietly in the background predicting what it would do in that situation. And when something unusual happens, a weird intersection, a sudden obstacle, an unexpected move from another driver, that short clip gets sent back to Tesla’s data systems. Engineers then use those clips to train the next version of the driving AI. And that updated AI then gets pushed back to every Tesla through a software update. So literally overnight, your car wakes up smarter. This is what we call the Tesla’s AI flywheel. The more cars on the road, the more data the system learns from. The more it learns, the better the driving gets. The better the driving gets, the more people use it. And that cycle just keeps spinning faster. At this point the fleet has driven billions of miles using FSD, which means the system has already experienced situations that no single human driver could ever see in a lifetime. That’s why when you press that button, the car is running a massive neural network that learned from millions of real drivers and billions of miles on real roads. And the result is something that honestly feels like the future. You literally just press a button… then you arrive at your destination. I really don't know how anyone in their right mind would choose anything other than a Tesla.

Forget UPL, it's the Devin's simple right hand turn that FSD needs to master first. I am blown away that software as good as FSD can make mistakes as simple but devastating as this. This is the second time in less than two weeks that FSD has tried to pull infront of a vehicle on a VERY SIMPLE right hand turn. The car drove pretty much flawlessly all day today (3~ hours of driving) but it ends the day with a move like this and it just takes all the confidence I have with FSD away in a simple move. I understand that the version of FSD we have today is not what will be used in Austin in June, but the fact that FSD is making decisions like this and 'full autonomy' is less than 3 months away - it's a bit concerning to me. I would feel a bit better if a near flawless version of FSD existed 'in the wild' for several months before Austin happens, but that's just me. Tesla Model 3 HW4 FSD 13.2.8 Tesla AI Ashok Elluswamy
