i also remember going to school with this kid that said he would get $100 as an allowance for every A and $1000 if it was all A’s, and this was the case for progress reports (every 4.5 weeks) and report cards (every 9 weeks) and he swore up and down that he was middle class

i am learning from my replies that many middle class children would apparently receive $8000+ from good grades every year
