An “unidentified person” climbed onto the Tirupati Govindaswami temple gopuram and attempted to steal the sacred pots Kalasams. He was intoxicated. Officials took three hours to bring him down. There is no Sanctity to a Temple without the hands of Devotees upon them. One of the most important priorities of the new government should be to hand over the administration of Hindu Temples to the Hindus. We should take back our temples before it’s too late. Look at the audacity of this mullah. He is not ready to talk about this temple. He is claiming this structure called Dargah is there for hundreds of years and pushing him away, telling to get out of there, even tried to snatch his phone. But look at all the Vigrahas and the entire structure. Our temple is still intact and our Vigrahas are left out without protection from sun and rain. All should start filing cases to take them back. I got this video as a forward ostensibly showing the status of the Office of the Commissioner of TN HRCE in Nungambakkam, Chennai after today’s rains. I trust all officials and staff are safe. I say this sincerely as I do have friends and well wishers in the Dept. Today has been declared a holiday and not many would have gone to office I am also concerned about the safety of desktops, laptops, equipment, vehicles etc. bought with funds taken from Hindu Temples - Crores of rupees have been taken illegally in the last two years for Dept’s new system called Integrated Temple Management System. Trust those equipment are also safe. Hindu Temples in Tamil Nadu cannot afford another round of looting
