BREAKING: Gavin Newson has just proposed the 28th Amendment to the United States Constitution. The 28th Amendment will take 4 gun safety measures and enshrine them in our Constitution. They are as follows: 1) It will raise the minimum age to purchase any gun to 21 years of age 2) It will require that there is a reasonable waiting period for gun purchases 3) It will require Universal background checks 4) It will ban the civilian purchase of assault weapons Here are my thoughts: I personally would change #4 to not ban all purchases, but make it much more difficult for the average American to purchase such a weapon. Make them jump through hoops. I would also add a stipulation that all Guns should be insured. Would you support this Amendment? Why or why not?

Secretary Mayorkas isn’t discouraging or preventing illegal aliens from invading our borders, he’s showing them how to do it. He’s establishing offices in foreign countries to make it easier for them to come to the United States. This is a burden on the taxpayers nobody wants. I just introduced an amendment prohibiting DHS from partnering with the State Department to establish and operate so-called “Safe Mobility Offices.” Nothing about these offices is safe for the American people as the Biden admin imports the third world. I’m happy to say my amendment PASSED on the floor of the House.

Earlier this week, I sent President Trump a letter encouraging him to give the ultimate gift to the American people by calling for the adoption of a Balanced Budget Amendment to the U.S. Constitution. Call it the “Trump Amendment”! The correct pathway to this goal is for Congress to propose an Amendment which passes each chamber with a two-thirds majority that would then be ratified by three-fourths of the states. It's an idea that may seem impossible in today's political gridlock, but I can't think of a more bipartisan issue than preserving American prosperity for future generations. Let’s get this done!
