Today in Lagos State, yet again, we witnessed an ugly but all-too-familiar scene: thugs allegedly sponsored and elements of the police working not to protect the people, but to intimidate, harass, and silence them. During GRV’s event, what should have been a peaceful democratic gathering turned into a targeted attempt to suppress free expression and political participation. Yet, in the face of fear and violence, brave Nigerians stood tall. We are immensely proud of those citizens who acted with courage and unity to protect one another and ensure GRV and his supporters were escorted to safety. This is the spirit of true democracy the will of the people refusing to be broken. But we must say this clearly and without apology: the use of violence, intimidation, and state-backed thuggery to undermine political opposition is a stain on Lagos State’s democratic record. This same pattern played out during the last elections, where voters were attacked, threatened, and in some cases injured simply for supporting the candidate of their choice. These are not isolated incidents they are part of a shameful strategy of political suppression that must be condemned by all lovers of democracy. Enough is enough.

This is not “cruise,” not entertainment, and certainly not a joke. This is a disturbing display of thuggery, intimidation, & the kind of lawlessness & intimidation Muslims face in the Christians-majority areas in Nigeria, especially the southeast. A group of young Igbo men openly harassed and terrorized two innocent cobblers with a cutlass, while some of their beastly friends laughed in the background as though violence against hardworking citizens is something to celebrate. They act as though their own brothers and sisters in their millions are not living in other parts of the country. The face of the main aggressor is clearly visible in the footage, and his accomplices can also be identified. With such undeniable evidence, the question is simple: why have these boys not been arrested? Why are they still walking freely after committing an act of intimidation that could have easily turned deadly? The victims in the video are Northerners. And let us be honest, if this very same incident had happened in reverse, the national reaction would have been completely different. If those Northern boys had been the ones holding small knives or any kind of weapon in self-defence, or if they had retaliated out of fear and desperation, the situation would have escalated immediately and the narrative would have changed completely. That is exactly why acts like this must never be taken lightly. Violence breeds violence. When innocent people are pushed, humiliated, or threatened, situations can spiral out of control. This is why such behaviour must be confronted firmly and immediately, no matter who is involved. We therefore call on the Nigeria Police Force to identify, arrest, and prosecute everyone involved in this shameful act. A strong message must be sent that no citizen, from any region, any background, or any occupation, should be subjected to harassment, intimidation, or violence while simply trying to earn a living. Lawlessness thrives when the state looks away. This is the time to act decisively.

What they used men like this one to achieve is an emasculation of our people to make them docile and malleable. The next phase will be to introduce Sharia and Almajiri systems into the people. And their Fulani Masters will rule remotely. Is it a surprise we have had a sudden spike in banditry and Kidnapping-for-ransom in the areas that these people operate? No! They know because they saw to it that we have become powerless. I can imagine that the majority of the victims of kidnapping-for-ransom in that Kwara State are MOSLEMS. They are the same people listening to these Moronic person. What men like these have done is to divide our people and detach us from our culture and customs under the guise of Islam. They know that only a PEOPLE ACTION rooted in the understanding of the Yoruba culture and customs can challenge the evil they planned to do so they simply distracted us away from those things. The ugly scenes of European Parliament members chanting ‘send them back’ are a manifestation of long-standing racism and xenophobia being tolerated and emboldened inside and outside the Parliament. In the context of systemic racism, the chant is based on the racist prejudice that migrants, refugees and asylum seekers - mostly racialized people in Europe - do not belong in the EU. This incident followed the vote on the Return Regulation, a law that will vastly expand the EU's detention and deportation of undocumented people. For years, European leaders have scapegoated migrants, refugees and asylum seekers to distract from their own failures to deal with the consequences of cuts to public services, the housing crisis and the rising cost of living. President Roberta Metsola’s condemnation of this is welcome but not enough. As the EU prepares its harshest assault on migrants’ rights in recent memory, these scenes are a warning of what lies ahead if we fail to change course. This must be a moment of reckoning to confront racism in Europe.

According to statements circulating online, they are threatening to treat protesters “as Israeli soldiers” and claim they would have the right to kill them. This is the language of a regime that fears its own people. For decades the Iranian people have lived under repression, intimidation, and violence simply for demanding the most basic freedoms. No government that threatens its own citizens for walking in the streets can claim legitimacy. That Axel Rudakubana was born in Wales or that others grew up in Britain is IRRELEVANT. Rudakubana's obsession with the Rwandan genocide underscores this point. This is a fundamental fact that the media and politicians will not discuss. The implications are so explosive they would prefer to say it is "far right" misinformation to suggest the Southport massacre is linked to the asylum system. THIS IS WRONG. The link is obvious. The sociological and psychological evidence is clear. So why do we continue to import so many from troubled lands? More broadly, the asylum system has imported HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS of fit, young men, many of whom have seen - or participated in - unspeakable horrors. We've allowed them to arrive on our shores bringing all that baggage with them. Huge numbers are incapable of integrating, emotionally dead or stunted and suffering serious psychological issues - some are simply criminals and murderers. The same goes for the 1,000+ radicalised British-born immigrant offspring who left Britain to fight for ISIS in Syria and have returned even more psychologically disturbed but brutally hardened, many of them murderers. Why would any society knowingly import so many who are poorly adjusted, a burden on our benefits system and our overstretched mental health services and - worst of all - pose a potential risk to both the safety of individuals and the security of the nation? The personality, psychology and mental health of those we import to this country - and of their children - is a major issue; yet it remains a taboo few are willing to discuss. This is what incitement of violence sounds like. These are not insults or ridicule. These are incitements of violence. This type of rhetoric is meant to make people believe that Trump and his supporters are a direct threat to them, their families, and the country. Democrats create imaginary threats and then promise to save people from said threats. Look no further than the No Kings rallies. A bunch of people protesting a king that does not exist. When a political party is constantly preaching to the country that the other side is out to hurt them and to hurt the most vulnerable people in society, it shouldn't be a surprise when some people attempt to end the threats that they actually believe exist.
