Major General Randy Manner suggested that number is extremely pessimistic and comes from sources biased against the war. "I would estimate in a matter of weeks, not six months. I'm wondering if that is somebody being just extremely pessimistic or what." Modern tech, drones, and sensor arrays make dedicated minesweepers obsolete.
