@EdColon14 That is a lie, @LeaderJohnThune. The traditional talking filibuster can be used and the bill can be passed with 50 Senators voting in the affirmative. The filibuster does not need to be changed in any way.

@JayciKraynek Thune can call for a talking filibuster and force Democrats to state their opposition. At the end of the filibuster it only takes a simple majority of 51 votes. If he can’t get that consensus from Republicans we need to know who the opposition is besides Mitch McConnell!

You don't "nuke the filibuster" by changing cloture rules to a 51 vote majority. You nuke it by forcing dems to filibuster the classic way. That doesn't require any rules changes.
