@BarryHearn your statements today, that completely contradict this, just feel more & more like you are losing touch of the game itself & dare I say it, maybe even are just using the sport as a pawn in the overall match room game with the Saudi’s. This isn’t just about a venue!

If you’re lucky enough to attend at least you can see the action at the crucible - super sized venues would be like putting the table in the centre circle of Wembley - good luck seeing the balls from the gods. The guys a money grabber pure and simple he doesn’t care about snooker

The only way the crucible will survive is if they do as is the case in tennis and have 4 grand slams. It’s sad but each sport goes one by one to the moral less ‘new money’ people who haven’t got any taste or appreciation for special iconic places. It’s sacrilege
