Just look at motorists in Ibadan refusing to stop at a red light. These same people will be the first to blame the government, yet can’t take responsibility or obey simple traffic laws. This is exactly why things don’t work.

Lazy stops: FSD 12.3.x is excruciatingly slow coming to stops at traffic lights. I had to capture the difference between manual regen only stopping (top video) vs FSD deceleration (bottom video) at the same traffic light. This aerial footage captured in Mt Hampden highlights the alarming disregard for basic traffic laws by some motorists on Zimbabwe's major roads. According to the Traffic Safety Council of Zimbabwe and the Highway Code, drivers approaching a level crossing must come to a complete stop and check for oncoming trains before proceeding. Attempting to beat a train at a crossing remains one of the leading causes of fatal collisions. Earlier today, the National Railways of Zimbabwe (NRZ) confirmed a tragic collision between a train and a bus at a level crossing in Chiredzi. The train was travelling from Triangle to the NRZ Lundi siding when the accident occurred. Preliminary reports indicate that the bus driver failed to observe level crossing regulations requiring motorists to stop and ensure it is safe to cross. Nine bus passengers died at the scene. These two guys were on their way to their fishing spot. They came to a stop sign at the same time as this bicyclist and blew through his stop sign and didn’t stop. When the men passed him they yelled at him for not stopping. So this guy followed them to their fishing spot. The two men exchange pleasantries and the guy on the bike tells them he never stops and they shouldn’t be yelling at him or anyone. The one man tells him he is just like everyone else and he has to obey the traffic laws. At one point the guy on the bike tells the two men he can take them both in a fight. The one man walks off to go fishing. 😳 The guy on the bike does not have the right of way. Bicyclists are like automobiles and must follow all traffic laws. I don’t know if most people realize this, but the carbon tax is a law that was passed. It can’t just go away. It’s no different than asking our government to break certain laws because they are unpopular and doing poorly in the polls. 🤣 Laws don’t work that way.

The state is sending boys two contradictory messages. Respect women and girls. But also, we will house thousands of unvetted men in towns across this country and look away when things go wrong. Anyone who complains is told not to be racist. Grooming gangs were ignored for decades. The inquiry is chaired by a Labour insider. The government needs to take responsibility before laying blame at the feet of schoolboys. There are far more urgent things to be done to protect women and girls.
