🇺🇸 SPEAKER JOHNSON ON SHUTDOWN: “I REFUSE TO GO IN A BACK ROOM WITH CHUCK SCHUMER AND MAKE A DEAL” “When I became speaker, I vowed to my colleagues that we would return to regular order. I would decentralize the speaker's office, and it would not be a top-down, hoisted-upon-the-membership kind of program anymore. This is a member-driven, consensus-driven operation. That’s how the founders intended it to work. I refuse to go in a back room with Chuck Schumer and make a deal. I don’t operate that way. It’s not good for the people. It’s not good for financial stewardship. We’re $37 trillion in debt as a nation, because you have two or three or four people in a back room doing that.” Source: @ericdaugh, Speaker Mike Johnson

🚨 BREAKING: SPEAKER JOHNSON reveals Chuck Schumer is BEGGING for a shady "backroom deal." "Republicans will NOT solve this in a backroom deal. Chuck Schumer has suggested 4 leaders go into a smoke-filled backroom like in the old days and create a solution." "We WON'T engage in Democrats' hostage-taking, nor will we pay a RANSOM." "It's not a possible thing to do. It's not appropriate, or possible to put on a continuing resolution." "As room as Schumer reopens the government, our members will have an opportunity to engage in a discussion about how to make Obamacare affordable."

🚨 JUST IN: Speaker Johnson MOCKS Hakeem Jeffries and Chuck Schumer for having a "power struggle" after Schumer pretended to speak for House Democrats "It's not my place to get involved in their family squabble! But Hakeem is OFFENDED at Chuck Schumer!" 😂 "It's not of our doing! Schumer and Jeffries are from the same state, same delegation! They seem to be having a power struggle. You ask me the question, I don't know what's going on, but WE are united." 🔥

.Chuck Schumer on government funding: "It's time the Speaker moves on...so the Senate will step in. Later today I will file cloture on a legislative vehicle that will enable us to prevent a Trump shutdown in the event that Speaker Johnson does not work with us..."

.Speaker Mike Johnson on Chuck Schumer "making a mockery of the government shutdown": "He said every day of the shutdown 'gets better' for us, meaning him and his party. It's stunning to me — it's tone deaf. Real people are being harmed by this."

Chuck Schumer wants ONLY four people to go into a smoke-filled back room — in private, behind the backs of the American people — to cut some shady deal. That’s NOT how this works. I promised to end Congress’ bad habit of backroom, shadowy politics. I REFUSE to cut secret deals that put the American people LAST. But that’s what Schumer has always done during his 44 years in Congress. The old way stops now.

🚨 BREAKING: Speaker Johnson says Chuck Schumer and the Democrats went to a BACKROOM and decided that it's worth harming Americans to gain support with Marxists and leftists. DISGUSTING. "They sat in a backroom and made the calculation they'd rather shut the government down and impose pain on the American people - because they believe the Marxists, the far-left in the base are more active than hardworking Americans." "'Every day gets better for us.' 'We'll use the pain for leverage.'" "What are they fighting?! It's a clean CR. It's the same level of funding they voted for earlier this year!"

Speaker Johnson violated our rules and forced us to vote for a bill funding open borders, abortion, and trans ideology for our kids. Republican voters deserve a leader who will stand up, not roll over to Chuck Schumer. It's time to select a new Speaker of the House.

🚨 BREAKING: Speaker Johnson says that Chuck Schumer SCREWED UP by handing the "keys to the kingdom" over to Russ Vought during the shutdown "It can provide an opportunity to downsize the scope and scale of the government! Which is something we've always wanted to do...Russ Vought is in charge...it is his responsibility to make very difficult choices! HE gets to decide now!" "Schumer has ALLOWED that...it's a pretty massive backfire!"

JUST IN: President Trump refuses to say when he'll end negotiations with the Iranian regime as peace talks between the U.S. and the Islamic Republic continue to play out: "We're only making a good deal. Their military's gone. It's wiped out, and we're only going to make a good deal and we'll see what happens. But, I believe that one way or the other, it's going to be very good for the American people. And I think actually very good for the Iranian people."
