I built a PDF compression tool instead of paying for it. It's funny because the more I get into AI, the more I realize how much I've stopped spending on SaaS subscriptions. Here are 5 things I used to pay for: 1/ PDF Compression → $9/mo 2/ Remove BG → $35/mo 3/ Typefully → $12.5/mo 4/ Link Shortener → $10/mo 5/ Color Palette Generator → $5/mo I've already replaced half of these with AI, and they're way better because they are personal and custom. No weird features or ads. Everything is hosted locally so I'm not uploading my data to random servers. I truly believe AI is changing the way we interact with SaaS entirely. More and more people will just build their own tools instead of purchasing generic subscriptions. It's easier because you just tell AI what problem you have, and it automatically comes up with a custom solution for you. I am already starting doing it. In a few months, I'll have my own "Home" hub where I have a bunch of custom apps working for me. All powered by AI. Pretty exciting!

ahh so cool 🔥 highly recommend trying out Jakub's /oklch-skill, perfect match for Paper generating, reworking and actually learning about this is so easy on a canvas... and pretty close to code with the MCP P3 gives us richer colors. OKLCH gives us more control over them, so we can build more consistent color systems. Paper supports both, and you can also bring agents to the party btw, tokens in Paper are just around the corner 👀 this is getting more fun every day!

For a minute keep your politics aside, who you voted for aside, whataboutery aside, farm fire vs fire crackers aside and ask yourself just one question.. don’t we need to do a lot more for a better, cleaner future not just for our children but our nation, would it be too much to ask from governments (irrespective of which party in power) to prioritise the air we breathe? Do we ask questions about the silence of the environment ministers, our senior ministers in the cabinet? Flew in from Mumbai today into Delhi and this is the difference. We need to do better.

I used Claude Code to build and automate a legitimate quant trading strategy. The framework I built is based on the GARCH model, and it's one of the most-used trading models by real quant desks. The crazy thing is, I just completely open-sourced the GitHub repo. It contains: a Pine Script indicator for TradingView that loads the quant strategy in real time, complete installation instructions, a reusable Claude Skill & more. i use one tool that gets me 5x better results from veo 3.1 and hailuo 2.3... if you're not effectively prompting camera motion, you're using these models at 50% capacity casual direction like "zoom in" or "circle around" doesn't work, video models need actual cinematography language: - [truck left, pan right, tracking shot] - [push in, pedestal up] - [dolly back, tilt down] so i built a claude skill that translates for you you describe what you want -> it converts to proper film terminology -> AI executes it way better this was initially made for my team, but i'm sharing it with you guys... reply "angles" + RT and i'll send it over (must be following so i can dm)
