Root canals are designed to fail, and then, when they fail, they have to be fixed, so first they give you a filling, then they dig too deep, then they do a root canal, then the root canal fails, then they do an implant. They make money all the way through the process. Everything is a scam today

Pulling the tooth is always last resort. The bone around your jaw will weaken and cause your face to look weird if you have multiple teeth with issues. I’ve had a couple root canals that I got capped. No issues at all for many years now. Don’t believe random ppl on twitter lol

After a lifetime of bad decisions. I’ve had 3 root canals that got got 3 crowns. Also had to get dozens of fillings. It was the most painful 3 months of my life and 6K in debt after insurance. Learn from my mistakes, brush your teeth and get a cleaning twice a year

I had 2 root canals done. It was painless after the anesthesia. With dental insurance my out of picket was about $250

I regret every one I had. All got infected and had to be pulled, got 10 years or less out of it. Should have just got a bone graft, then implant when I could afford it. Wasted f**kin money. That infection just sitting in your jaw is like a tiny ticking time bomb. Don't do it.

If you can afford it, it is better to pull the tooth and get it replaced. That’s gonna be the end result anyway. Within a year of getting a root canal, my tooth started to turn a brownish/dingy color and had to be replaced anyways.

Dental implants cost a TON of money.

Would be curious about the cost comparison. Once you get into implants it becomes dental surgery and the cost gets ridiculous. I have to imagine this is cheaper since it's technically still regular dental work.

Yeah. That decay looks so bad that the root canal is poor money spent as it will abscess in no time causing more pain and the inevitable…pull and replace. It’s best. Lesson learned 😔

A root canal and crown is a safer option vs an implant. The screw can fail to take, and if that happens there's literally zero fixes for it. You have to go with a bridge and that does not prevent decay of the jaw so your mouth gets fucked up anyway.

I could be a really good dentist. I know I have the skill set to do work like this. BUT I could never get past the gag of looking at rotten teeth and shit lol.

Hypothetically, asking for a friend, what if someone got the first part of the root canal done where they drilled out all the bad parts of the tooth and removed the nerve, put a temporary filling on it for a couple of weeks, but the person didn’t go back to get the work finished
