Thanks buddy! Yeah it was a cool knife to open. I never thought I would hit a ruby. I think the odds are like 1 in 2,000 for a ruby if I recall. I’m still debating if I sell or not. I feel like knife will keep going down in price with being able to trade up to knives now.

long-term the market will continue to go down, and yes thats because of the update. however, i'm certain that the huge downturn this past month has been largely because of market manipulation

Seeing this makes me wish I sold my skelly sapphire I opened in June 2025 when it was $4.5k usd. But it was my first gem and like your ruby, I completely get holding, even if the price goes down as the fever case doesn’t seem to be getting removed/reds for trade ups are cheap

That is what I am worried about. I think Valve is intentionally trying to lower the price of the skin market in general and also targeting high price rarer skins to bring their price down. No way this can go up in price right? Just the fact that you can trade up to a knife now has to make prices contiune to come down over time right?

@twonaughty_ No , demand will push prices up right now people sell more than buy that is why the price ôs going down but like always it will turn the other way , also i am holding gamma butterfly gem and sapphire and ruby Gems in flip knife i believe they will change the look of gems in futur

I actually think some of the profitable items in terminal collections are very low float FT in MW, mill specs, and inexpensive skins as I think these will be very desirable in the future for trade ups and I think you get a lot of value out of them with not much to invest

The equip animation, or it looks like, also like 4 knifes have the exact same animation when changing to it. Looks very bad imo

The skeleton animation is the spinning animation... not sure what other knife has the same let alone four. But I could be wrong...

This is EXACTLY what I was thinking about doing! I was thinking about getting a gut knife emerald. I am a fan of green skins and I think since the Gut Knife is old maybe it has a better chance to go up.

I personally don’t see gut knife gems going up, as nice as they are they don’t get the love they deserve. You can get a ruby for about $500-$600. I have had like every phase in gut knife and they get boring really fast lol. Nomads gotta be the most underrated one right now

I was just thinking about the Nomad!!!! I really like that knife. I think the size of it is great, the sound when you pull it out is great and I like the animation... I have to check and see if there is an emerald Nomad I cant remember off hand.

I just got rid of my nomad combo and picked up a butterfly knife. In my opinion the nomad doesn’t get enough love. I know for a fact there is a sapphire and ruby though.
