Just returned from an official visit to Germany where I had productive discussions with President Frank-Walter Steinmeier, Foreign Minister Dr. Johann Wadephul and Minister Ms. Reem Alabali-Radovan. Together, we focused on strengthening our cooperation in trade, the digital economy, investment and vocational training. Excited for the path ahead!

How productive were the discussions with President Steinmeier, considering his role is so purely ceremonial that his most notable official duty might just be waking up each morning?

Good for the country’s economy and the engagement with the west. But we still haven’t seen a clear engagement on the longstanding issues this country’s has gone through. Without devolution of power we will not be able to achieve the main goals.
