Nothing positive will come out of this trend. As a society, when we catch these criminals-in-training, we slap them on the wrist and send them home, with no real consequences, no meaningful deterrent. What happened to Civic Education? Even those who manage to escape the trenches, pursue higher education, and rise into the ranks of business or leadership still carry the same entitlement mindset: “If I can’t have it, I’ll take it.” This attitude has seeped into politics as well. Many politicians either turn a blind eye or fully embrace it. We now have “turnstile justice”, no cash bail, revolving doors for repeat offenders, and a growing tolerance for lawlessness disguised as equity. It’s not reform; it’s a breakdown of accountability at every level.
