I've been in the fandom since 2010 and sooooo much has changed so I resonate with this one hard Some things have changed for the better, others not so much I come from a time where if you were a murrsuiter, no one could know because it would make you hated in the fandom

Very good explaination mate Ive been in the fandom since 2006 and I can honestly say I've seen its change and evolve over the years its forever changing... At the end of the day you do you its for everyone.
It’s a fandom that’s just getting bigger and bigger, whatever brings you into it, secret or not, enjoy it. Life’s too short, have fun while it lasts, no matter what draws your interest, just be yourself
Unfortunately sex will always exist within us, I just wish other people were not so crazy about it. It gets boring after a while. But yeah, you're right. The fandom is something nowadays. Different than how I've expereinced it before. Also I must say, your Avatar is cute. ^^

Yes. But sexual side of fandom is coming out again to public view. That is bad. Sure as a furry i like NSFW arts and so on but it should be more.. hidden by community.
The sexual side of any fandom will usually see the public eye. It's neither bad nor good, just part of human nature and any community.
