Just take one minute and listen to this.

@xtine_mac Nessun dorma never fails to give me goosebumps. He nailed it beautifully.

@xtine_mac I used to walk the streets of NYC late night at with either this or Clare de lune blazing in my earphones. The song is next level for me. He clinched it for sure.

@xtine_mac Seriously, Clare de lune is my favorite piano composition. I absolutely love it.

Just sharing the deets… Russell Thomas is an American operatic tenor born in Florida who’s sung at opera houses all over the world. This is a clip from the opera Turandot and the song, Nessun dorma, was famously composed by Puccini. I tried but couldn’t find a longer clip.

What a beautifully rich voice he has. Do you know who he is? (Puccini: Nessun Dorma)

Russell Thomas.

Thank you. Here he is singing Celeste Aida. I'm now a fan.

Omg!!! This is my first time ever hearing this performed by someone of my culture. Such strength oh, I love it. I wish I could see the whole video. Who is this man!?

Russell Thomas. I tried to find a longer vid to share. I don’t think one exists of this performance.

Thx Sis

Amazing! Nessun dorma 💕 has been a favorite of mine for years. And, on the one week anniversary of Bad Bunny’s halftime show, which I loved even though I could not understand the lyrics, I still have no clue what the lyrics of Nessun dorma are in English. See how that works?!

Yes! Honestly opera was the first thing I thought about when people started complaining about his halftime show. No one complains then.

"But my secret is hidden within me....my name no one shall know...no, no, on your mouth I will tell it...when the light shines..." So beautiful...in both languages.

One of the most beautiful songs ever composed. Without a doubt.

He’s got a great throat. I heard him sing live last year. It was phenomenal.

Omg where?

In a concert in NYC. Celebrating Black opera singers in a tribute to Leontyne Price, Shirley Verrett, Martina Arroyo and Grace Bumbry. The voice who sang especially his were out of this world great. It was a phenomenal event.

That sounds amazing. How long ago was this?

It was about a year ago Have you heard Limmie Pulliam. Another phenomenon

Oh yes!!!

They are both golden age voices. So exciting and great technicians

Yes! Limmie is intimidating!!

MAGA: Why is it not in English? 🤦🏾‍♂️🤦🏾‍♂️🤦🏾‍♂️

The legacy of Paul Robeson lives on.

@skbird50 Was not even close to expecting that!! Wow

@skbird50 Tried finding a fuller vid but that’s all I could get my hands on. I keep missing this dude live and I simply have to fix that! He’s AMAZING.

@sawyer_kat60545 @skbird50 Idk if you already got this info or not but that’s Russell Thomas. Here’s his instagram

@sawyer_kat60545 @skbird50 I know. I follow him on IG. I can just never seem to catch him when he’s been at LA opera.

Going to need more than one minute. Thank you!

Wow! Breathtaking 🤩 what opera is this 😃

Turandot. In 2024. Seeing Russell Thomas live has been in my bucket list for two years.

Amazing! 💙💙💙
