Just think about how old that tree was.

There is a woods in Ohio that still has Oak trees that have never been cut a virgin forest. Some oaks are 850 years old. Very big.

Wow that’s incredible.

@BrianCr67431326 There’s a cedar tree on top of a inaccessible hill next to a lake, which looks like a giant oak tree I’d say it’s somewhere between 250 400 years old and was never cut down because nobody could reach it

@its_The_Dr Goll woods was bought in the 1830s and the owners only let a few trees cut down in WW1. I wish more big trees had been left for future generations.

@its_The_Dr I read stories that mentioned gigantic Elm trees covered the eastern party of the United States, and someone says people could reverse the branches for miles without ever touching the ground

@its_The_Dr Dutch elm disease wiped most of them out. only Chinese Elm are resistant to the disease. Very sad.

Wow.. shame this baby was cut down!

If trees could talk

If only Trees could only talk 💬 Imagine sitting under them and listening to their stories 🤔

The largest tree in the world, by volume, is The General Sherman, in Sequoia National Park in California. Estimated to be over 2,200 years old.

Stelmužės oak Lithuanian natural monument, one of the oldest oak trees in Europe, and the oldest tree in Lithuania. It is estimated that its age is about 1000-1500 or even 2000 years. The oak tree is 23 years old. high, 3.5 m in diameter

Interesting but trees don't gain a ring a year. Some years they may gain more depending on the weather and some years less.

This plane tree in Bursa, Turkey, is 600 years old.

"History started in 1776, everything before that was a mistake" Ron Swanson

At least 12 years old

Whole lotta stuff happen back that way Hit the pipe Walk off This man is a legend

I like how he puts the smoke in his mouth as a mic drop.

Wouldn’t you count from the middle out…..?

What's really cool is that you can use dendrochronology to compare these rings to the timbers of an old building or a boat and figure out the age of that building or ship.

Great, but... quick question: If this tree is that old and has so much history, why do we as humans need to cut it down?

Keep cutting down our beautiful forest, you'll be lucky there is 25 years left on this planet!

Appalachia was once full of chestnut trees that lined the mountaintop’s. It’s suggested that some of those trees were in the 800 year range. Too bad they got wiped out by a fungus brought over from the Asian chestnut.

This makes me miss my dad. He taught us all of the good stuff!❤️

Was this from a tv show?

Almost as old as Mitch McConnel

Now imagine how much paper this will make. A lot of American kids will fail school on the paper from this tree

And we've cut most if it down... BUT.. we're not guilty for all of it...

older than jesus??

Why steal @PeterSantenello’s video and not tag him?

@DillonSmith923 whoa

That’s nothing! 😊 I used to go to the Giant Sequoias (Redwoods) in California. There we would Drive Through one of the trees. ✨ 🇺🇸 ✨ ✌️

Methuselah old !

If you are looking for a miracle, take your shoes off, step outside and resonate with a tree. -Bill Mollison

I need a pipe that was too much AURA

He said it was 14050 right? Wonder if he meant 14500? That's an old tree.

@Ryan_B93

That oak stump video is wild—pins every 25 rings showing it started around 576 AD, with the Declaration of Independence in just the last ~10 rings. Crazy how short our history is compared to these trees. Sad it was cut for landscaping. Ancient oaks like that are living history books. (Stelmužė Oak in Europe is still standing at 1,000–1,500+ years.) Quick note: rings aren’t always 1/year—droughts etc. can mess with the count—so 1,450 is a good estimate. Should we have stronger protections for trees 500+ years old on private land, or too much? What do you think?

Thinking about how crAckas kill everything

@grok how old is this tree
