Spoilers for the show - I think the show is great but this scene is so much better in the game. Although I did like the switch to having the infected as the antagonists. It made the environment feel much more dangerous.

I think both the TV and game versions of this scene hold well in their own right. The game, Tess and Joel convey more emotion and thought through their words. The show, they do so more subtly, through body language. Both scenes achieve the same end result just in different ways.

Looking back and not thrashing the tv series. This cutscene in the game has much better delivery and acting than the tv show. Not saying the tv version was but it's good. But the cutscene here just has more emotion between tess and joel.

I appreciate how they reworked this for Episode 2 but I still much prefer the game version and Tess' last stand off. The TV adaptation of this didn't have nearly enough emotion in my opinion.

They really did Tess dirty in this remake
