I used to love doing a car boot sale in the 80s and 90s but then things changed. People like this started turning up and demanding things for nothing. You’d say a £1 and they’d say 10p or they’d be in ya boot before you’ve had time to unpack it. I’d much rather throw things away than do a car boot sale. How sad.

I had the chance to watch the Hulk Hogan Netflix docuseries this weekend on my flight. Overall, I felt the same way as I did about the Vince McMahon series. It was a fun trip down memory lane—it’s my childhood, the ’80s, when I fell in love with wrestling. Arguably the biggest name ever—impactful, complex, the ups and the downs. I thought Linda, his ex-wife, was one of the stars of it, especially since she filmed so much of their early days. In the end, it felt a bit surface-level. I wanted to learn more, but maybe those docs aren’t for me. Maybe they’re geared toward newer fans or those who didn’t watch in the ’80s. Still, I enjoyed it, and it’s worth your time.

Anyone else with pre teens at home tired of fining half drunken drinks and water cups all over the house and in the cars? I am proposing a solution to that, I am buying a bunch of quality insulated cups to replace all of the other ones. So no more complaining about warm drinks, I got the large quantity cups so they can be happy sipping all day long. Does anyone else have this problem with random drinks everywhere or have you tried this? Let me know what your thoughts are. Yes I am getting rid of all of the cups in the house and replacing them with these.

When I was a kid, I learned SO MANY math and computing concepts from Logo on the Commodore 64. Recursion was a big one. As a seasoned technologist, I'm still blown away by how much they packed into a single 170kb floppy to give a simple 8-bit computer so much power and flexibility. It's only now that I've started playing with the built-in assembly language interfaces in Logo. Something that was completely over my head as an 11 year old. Here's the kind of thing I did a lot of in the 80s (and even understood most of what I was doing).
