"Just to be clear, that game was not won or lost with those three free throws. Sarah was a huge part of that second half comeback and the reason we were even in the game." Paige Bueckers on Sarah Strong's performance tonight:

Spoken like a true leader and letting the freshman player know she not alone on the court. Sara trust me Is a fast learner and will take this game and improve even more for down the road

"The Democratic Party's actions had left many U.S. citizens feeling humiliated. Signs of a Trump victory were proclaimed well before Biden withdrew from the race. The voters had had enough." 📝 @KarinaLMariani

Without Strong’s play on both ends, UConn gets blown out!! Best Fr in the country

Yes! But also, no. The missed shots literally decided the game. But also, a lot of failures from others led to them being in that situation.

I love P and what she said 💯. But need action she is so quite this season. idk if she is saving her energy for March but I feel theres more pressure on Sarah than her.

UCONN lost in the first half. Play as a team. Lose as a team. Just imagine if UCONN did not have Sarah. She is doing more than her share as a freshman.

Let me state up front that these two plays were NOT the reason St. John's lost yesterday. And I am a numbers guy so no need to tell me about our shooting stats in the game. But I need to vent. We knew Arkansas over their prior 8 games was making a concerted effort to get to the free throw line - they averaged 26.5 free throws over this 8 game period. In the 10 games prior to this 8 game period, Arkansas averaged 19.3 free throws attempts per game - right in line with D1 average per game. The coaching staff gave a clear direction to our players prior to the game - wall up with your hands in the air and maintain verticality. I am including two clips here of just that in which the Arkansas player initiated contact, Zuby and Kadary went straight up with their hands in the air, and Arkansas was rewarded with two trips to the free throw line. In the first clip, St. John's had a 4 point lead with 2 minutes to go in the first half with momentum as Arkansas hadn't made a field goal in 3 minutes. Zuby does exactly what he was instructed when Boogie Fland initiated contact and the baseline ref who is 6 feet away from the action does not blow his whistle, but another ref does award Boogie Fland two free throws. That started a 7-0 run for Arkansas and they went into the half with a 3 point lead. I can't provide enough words on the second clip on just how unjust it was to have a late whistle call on Kadary going straight up in the air and getting his fifth foul called on him with 6:28 to play. Kadary was limited to just 16 minutes of play in the entire game because of foul trouble. And as a reminder, I will end this post with how I started it. These two plays were NOT the reason St. John's lost yesterday.
