The label “heretic” gets thrown around way too easily these days. If you profess the Nicene Creed & the Apostles’ Creed, you count as a legitimate Christian. Period. We are not participating in this war; we said that from day one. That remains the case for us. As long as the war continues, we will not participate in it with military means to ensure free navigation in the Strait of Hormuz. To this day, we are not aware of any concept as to how such an operation could succeed at all. The United States of America and Israel did not consult us before this war either. Regarding Iran, there has never been a joint decision on the 'whether.' Therefore, the question of how Germany will get involved militarily here does not arise. We will not do it.

Regime change is not our decision. We learned that the hard way in Iraq and Afghanistan - I fought in both of those wars. We ended up there for a long time in a war we didn’t understand. Regime change can only come from one place: the people of Iran. But let’s be clear - we may not be at war with Iran, but they are at war with us. I support Israel’s strikes fully and hope they are successful in debilitating Iran’s military.
