JUSTICE TO ALL MOTHERS BE IT SINGLE, MARRIED OR WIDOWS UNDERGOING THIS SIMILIAR SITUATION. I'm dedicating part of my yesterday's condolence speech during the funeral of our friend the late John Kioko who was killed by his friend Mr. Mutemi to all mothers. Kioko's wife who is now a... widow started facing some challenges and rejection from some of her in-laws even before her late husband was laid to rest. These cases have nowadays become rampant and common in almost every community. As we celebrate this year's international women's day, let's pray for all the mothers be it single, married, or widows undergoing a similar situation for them to enjoy peace in their families even in absence of their deceased hubbies or spouses. IT'S VERY PAINFULL TO LOOSE A CHILD IN SCHOOL The second and last body of the two pupils of Emmanuel New Life Centre in Kayole who tragically lost their lives when two blocks from a construction site fell on their heads leading to their immediate deaths is set for burial. As we did to the first deceased pupil the late Liz Wamboi Wanja who was laid to rest in Kangema, Muranga last week, we have also wiped the tears of the second deceased family of the late Ashley Joy John 6 years old by catering for her coffin, morgue fees and all the transport costs to her final resting place. We also gave upkeep money to the family and all the mourners who accompanied the deceased family to Homa Bay for the burial. Joy will be laid to rest on saturday. I have promised the deceased families of both Joy and Wanja that I will engage a strong legal team to pursue justice on their behalf as the owner of the building who is an investor is said to be hiding abroad. The bitter part is that he never assisted the deceased poor families in any way. On behalf of my family, all the great people of Nairobi and Kenyans in general and on my own behalf, I wish all the mourners journey mercies to Joy's final resting place. May the Almighty God in heaven rest her soul in everlasting peace. There is an unhealthy desire I have noticed on this App to attack single mothers. Most single mothers don’t choose to raise their kids alone, some of them are victims of useless and irresponsible men. Treat each person or single mother as an individual and not a group, and deal with their own personal circumstances instead of tainting every single mother, many of whom didn’t become single mothers out of choice, and many who have brought up decent human beings. If it helps, Barack Obama was brought up by a single mother, Bob Marley was brought up by a single mother. By stigmatising single mothers, we are also stigmatising the kids they are bringing up. We should be asking why the fathers of these kids went AWOL.

WHAT A TRAGEDY! I can’t believe this happened to these beautiful little girls. A future has been cut off in such a painful manner that is so difficult to come to terms with. May God keep their innocent souls in perfect peace. My prayers are with the bereaved families. May the joy of the Lord strengthen you to enable you go through this difficult phase of your life. THE LOST OF ANY CHILD ANYWHERE IS THE LOST OF A FUTURE EVERYWHERE. Can a mother leave her children? Certainly not! But the painful thing here is that, as the mother cannot leave her children, in this regrettable condition, the children have left their mothers. As a mother, I can deeply relate with the mothers of these kids and what they may be going through by now. It is too painful to remember and too painful to forgive. At this moment all I wish to say is that, I pray for grace to be sufficient for you in this condition. I pray for strength for the both families of the kids. What keeps me fighting for this city is simple. It’s the people. The working families this city has ignored for far too long. When I started the Guardian Angels, my parents were all in. My father was a merchant seaman. My mother was the kind of woman who gave everything she had to help others. As our movement grew, mothers from the neighborhood started coming to her. They asked if their kids could join the Guardian Angels. They wanted their children to have a positive influence, to be part of something bigger, to stay away from drugs, from gangs, from a life that only leads to pain. These were mothers trying to save their children in a system that never cared about them. And my mother said yes every time. We opened our home. We listened. We guided. We believed in them when no one else would. You cannot fix this city without knowing its people. I know them. I have walked with them, protected them, and fought for them my whole life. 💥What is happening with our Mothers born in 1950-1980s? 1. These batch of women were groomed for building a family and household chores were fundamental to their routine and existence. They were not taught or groomed for nuclear living or solitude. Their individuality is their participation in the growth of family members. Their individuality was never about themselves alone. 2. Youngsters, especially sons who are married recently find it painful to see their mothers still operate the chores like before while their wives enjoy a lot of solo time and individual goals. What is the duty of the society & family? 1. Do not snatch all the work from these elderly mothers in one stroke just because you have money to get these done. 2. These elderly mothers will find it as a shock and feel themselves clueless, work-less and purpose-less in life. 3. A lot of personal attention will be needed to first find out what slow activity they will find useful and interesting to them. Activities which will not involve your well-being will not be interesting to them. They are not okay with any regular activities which is "solo" and meant ONLY for themselves. E.g. - You can't be telling her to play games, watch movies or have vacations as a regular activity. 4. Once you find those activities you will have to ensure you or their grand children consume the outcomes of those new activities they have recently learnt to do.

He'll have to sleep on the couch for two weeks and must buy his wife an apology gift to make up for getting her angry. This is what married men have to go through every day in their home; Being asked to choose between food and sex whereas even single men enjoy both of them. Being asked to choose between them and their mothers. Having to call her my madam while she calls him babe. After being used as an errand boy by their wives, they come on Twitter to threaten single men with marry first whereas they haven't done a dna test first. These men are so afraid of their wives that the only time you'll sense their presence is in front of their fellow men but at home, they become the wife. We can all chip in: - Support that single mama in your community with an extra meal or offer to babysit for a few hours - If you're blessed to be an employer, flexible work from home schedules if possible and generous family leave - I've seen many families move or make very intentional lifestyle sacrifices in order to empower the mama to be with babies instead of dropping them off at a daycare - Pursue side gigs, jobs and careers that are as mama-friendly as possible There is no single solution, but we can all find ways to support mothers and fathers and lead in ways that promote FAMILY - the care and nurture of children - always over financial gain or material things "Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus." Philippians 4:6-7

On the day that marks the end of a month of sacrifice, it was fitting that we joined those who sacrifice to keep us safe at the COAS Sallah Luncheon for Troops in the Field of 2 Division Area of Responsibility in Igbeti, Olorunsogo LGA. As I said in my remarks, their welfare is our shared responsibility and we will continue to do all we can to support them to carry out their duties. May their sacrifices never be in vain and may Nigeria continue to find peace through their service to the nation.

Today, during the visit of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Türkiye to Ukraine we discussed diplomacy, all the real opportunities that exist and those that must be created. I also had a good meeting with U.S. Senators Graham and Blumenthal. I thank them for their support of Ukraine, their support for diplomacy, and their efforts to bring moral clarity to the situation. It was Russia that started this war. It is Russia that must stop the killings and the destruction of lives. It is very important that this is voiced in the media, in Congress, and in all the world’s influential offices. If Russia continues to speak in the language of ultimatums, if it tries to blackmail the world with the continuation of war, it must receive a strong response — a response from the United States, from Europe, and from everyone around the world who wants peace and who has declared their support for a ceasefire and for diplomacy.

🇺🇸 Having attended the parade, and the Army 250th festival on the National Mall before it, I agree with Senator John Fetterman. This had nothing to do with Donald J. Trump & his birthday & any political party and everything to do with showing respect & gratitude for the Army. I spoke with countless soldiers today, from recent enlistees to 3-star Generals. Shook their hands. Listened to their stories. Spent a lot of time with a Blackhawk pilot and his wife & kids, even riding back on the Metro with them, exchanging numbers and promising to keep in touch. I’ve never met such honorable, HUMBLE, strong people in my life. We are blessed to have the U.S. Army protecting us. And today was a day JUST for them. It made be even prouder to be an American and even more thankful for the sacrifices of our service members. God bless 🙏 all of them and their families who share them with all of us. 🇺🇸

The wife of Mr. Chukwudi Jude Ihenetu, has firmly denied allegations that her husband is attempting to establish an Igbo Kingdom in Ghana. She emphasized that they have been married for 28 years and are raising their five children together, all of whom live with them in Ghana. She appealed to Ghanaians to be patient and to seek the full facts in situations like this before reacting or passing judgment.
