Good morning everyone, today is the day. Kade Anderson is my #1 Mariners prospect. Anderson is equipped with four above average pitches with his slider and curveball being at least 60 grade pitches. His changeup has been a nightmare for right-handed hitters and his fastball, while it won’t blow anyone away, has some deception to it. Moving from a MiLB ball to a MLB ball might bring the specs of his fastball down a bit, it shouldn’t hurt much. He’s a consistent strike thrower and can locate all four pitches inside the zone and out if he so chooses. Coming off of arguably the greatest MiLB pitching season ever, it’s hard not to be extremely excited about Kade Anderson. For a franchise that has watched Logan Gilbert, George Kirby, Emerson Hancock, Matt Brash, Bryce Miller, and Bryan Woo all come through the organization and become top rated prospects, Kade Anderson is easily the most polished of them all. I haven’t been this excited for a Mariners debut since George Kirby was promoted and just like that start, I am going to miss a chunk of the game. Enjoy the day, everyone. Debuts like this don’t come around often.
