Tonight on Your Face Sounds Familiar, Kaisha’s dream came to life as she transformed into Kim from Miss Saigon, originally portrayed by Lea Salonga, and performed “I’d Give My Life for You.” She finally stepped into the shoes of the artist who has inspired her since she was a little girl. Every moment of the performance carried not just the power of the song, but also the heart of a young dreamer who grew up looking up to her. KAI AS LEA SALONGA #KaiMontinola

Grabe rin talaga 'tong pagkapanalo noon ni Ms. Lea Salonga sa TONY AWARDS. Major category talaga. Best Actress in a Musical for her peformance as Kim in Miss Saigon. 🙌 Sino kaya ang susunod sa yapak niya? 🤔 Dami may potentials sa broadway.

you’re on a diff level of delusion if you think you can cancel lea salonga of all ppl. she fought tooth and nail against discrimination even before your faves were born. she constantly advocates for asian representation on global stages just for you guys to call her a clout chaser?! RESPECT HER NAME.

Kai singing On My Own at Barrio Fiesta was a moment that truly stopped time. Taking on a song so deeply associated with the legendary Lea Salonga is no easy feat, yet Kai delivered it with sincerity, courage, and quiet strength. Every note carried emotion, and every line felt personal, as if she was telling her own story through the music. It was not about comparison, but about honoring a classic while making it her own. That performance reminded everyone why Kai continues to shine, not just because of her talent, but because of the heart she brings to the stage. A proud and unforgettable moment for Kai and for all Kaimates watching. KAIKYLE MAGIC RULES DUBAI #OurHabibtiKaisha #BurjKYLElifa

Broadway legend and Tony Award winner Lea Salonga praised Jungkook's vocals on a podcast she appeared on. Q: As someone with a flawless ear who has maintained impeccable vocal technique for decades, when you listen to BTS's live performances, who catches your attention the most? Lea Salonga: “Jungkook is one of the best (GOAT) vocalists in the business. I've also spoken with other people who've worked with him since his debut. One of the music directors—because I was raving about how incredible his vocal intonation and pitch accuracy are—said to me, ‘He's been like that from the very beginning. It's like he swallowed a CD and just keeps singing that way consistently.”

At just 18 years old, Lea Salonga made a daring move from the Philippines to London, where she was set on a course to become the first Asian actress to win a Tony Award and voice two Disney princesses. In a note to her teenage self, the Broadway legend shares why inspiring another young Asian actor is “perhaps the greatest reward” she’s received for following her dreams.
