Huge crowd of devotees at Kainchi Dham on Saturday morning Thousands of devotees have reached Neem Karoli Baba’s Kainchi Dham ashram for darshan this long weekend, with long queues and packed premises since early morning. Because of the rush, the road from Bhowali to Kainchi Dham is jammed for kilometres, and the jam has stretched towards Garampani and Khairna. Some travellers heading to Haldwani and Kathgodam have even missed their trains.

My Muslim friend, whom I visited Kainchi Dham with, was so happy to see the place and feel the energy that she has now gifted me this stay for the next 7 days. Can’t believe this is in India! ♥️

Two policemen on duty allegedly harass homestay owner’s daughter near Kainchi Dham. Villagers beat them up and drag them to the police post. The incident happened Saturday night around 11 pm. The constables, deployed for the upcoming annual fair, were staying at a local homestay near the temple when they allegedly harassed the owner’s daughter. Locals caught them on the spot, thrashed them, and marched them to the Kainchi Dham police post. Hundreds of villagers gheraoed the post for hours demanding immediate suspension and arrest. Nainital SSP Manjunath TC ordered a public medical examination of both accused and made his position clear. Those who disrespect women have no place in the force. Strict action will follow once guilt is established.

Zuckerberg flew all the way from the US just to learn about Neem Karoli Baba's teachings at Kainchi Dham. We live here in India and still don't know much about him. Now, the film about Neem Karoli Baba, made on a ₹2 crore budget, has crossed ₹45+ crore. Maybe it's time we paid attention to what's already ours.
