The people pushing for Kalonzo Musyoka to be picked as the most preferred presidential candidate for the opposition are not just The United Opposition but it is THE GOVERNMENT. They want a presidential candidate who is weak, less radical, predictable, and manageable so that when they rig the elections (which we know they will given William Ruto’s apparent greedy determination to cling to power), that Presidential Candidate will NOT lead a REVOLT against the state, but will easily concede just like Raila Odinga. They are afraid of a Radical and strong Presidential Candidate like Edwin Sifuna who indeed wants to take power unlike the controlled opposition old guards that we have had for a long time. They know that Sifuna would not watch as his votes are being rigged ! They know that Sifuna enjoys broader national acceptance that transcends tribal and regional politics, unlike Kalonzo, whose political support is largely perceived to be concentrated within Ukambani. That is precisely why they would prefer a candidate like Kalonzo: someone they can easily frame within a regional political bloc, thereby pushing Kenyans back into the familiar and divisive politics of tribal voting blocks rather than allowing a genuinely nationalistic movement to emerge. It hurts them to see a radical opposition candidate who is revered and highly talked about without the thought or mention of tribal voting blocks. THEY ARE DOING EVERYTHING TO UNDERMINE SIFUNA AS THE MOST PREFERRED PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATE FOR THE OPPOSITION AND WE MUST FIGHT !! The biggest coup in the Kenyan political scene happened yesterday. Kalonzo's WIPER, which exited Azimio sometime back, is suddenly in Azimio's leadership (courtesy of Uhuru Kenyatta's scheming to take Luos to the opposition through all means) and is being cheered by Justin Muturi, who has never been part of Azimio. The absurd thing is that Winnie Odinga, Sifuna and crew are actively supporting Uhuru's quest to control ODM through Azimio. Seems like Sifuna, Babu, etc. will manage ODM through the Azimio coup, and that's because even Sifuna doesn't recognise or respect Oburu as ODM's party leader. He is not foolish about that, but what he does with his intelligence is what is in question.
