Donald Trump broke it when he refused to take COVID-19 seriously during the early days. Trump was the leader and he failed. Hundreds of thousands died. Parents and grandparents died. Your refusal to acknowledge their deaths and blame Joe and Kamala shows how disingenuous you are.

When JD Vance says these things, he means everyday costs. He doesn’t mean record low unemployment or GDP or the daily stock market records. And he’s right, everyday costs are too high. He also knows that the only way to fix those costs (which is clearly legacy corporate greed from the pandemic) is to engage companies to do so. But here’s the thing: he’s not going to do that. Trump’s not going to do that. In fact, they’re going to do the exact opposite and slap a tariff on everything we buy. So if costs is your singular issue, don’t vote for the guys who economists UNANIMOUSLY agree will make it worse.
