@redsteeze Weird laughing tic aside, reducing truancy is no bad thing. From some comments here, they might have gone a bit overboard, but applying some accountability to parents for keeping their kids in school is not going to outrage middle Americans.

Then she took a mother to court for her child with sickle cell! The mother kept her home on days she was too badly sick to be at school..... Kamala kept her in court for years!

Good. Kids should be in school.
