Kamala Harris: I reject the false choice we must either choose between securing our border or creating a system of immigration that is safe, orderly and humane. We can and we must do both.

This is a classic red herring. Nobody has suggested you can’t secure the border while also improving our immigration process. The big problem is that she has been derelict in her responsibility to secure the border, and now—just weeks before the election—she suddenly takes an interest. Give me a break.

Why is she addressing this now? She’s been the border czar for 3 1/2 years and she did nothing to address the crisis at the border. A year ago, she was saying the border was secure, and there was no crisis. Now she’s trying to convince Americans that she is the best option to solve a crisis that she created?
